I got a hold of this story and could not believe it. This guy did not pay no mind to the excuses his victims gave him. And the final meal, how much of the tax payers money goes for that? All the money to house and feed and to clothe these prisoners. They get 3 hots and a cot, educated and all this at our expense. Mind you some will change for the good while they are in there, but most don't. The laws of Moses don't sound to bad sometime. This has been going on for a long long time..Nothing new...Were have you been and who do you think was doing this for them all along ?????
Perhaps if people did more feed and house the criminals. Perhaps if people got involved in the lives of people before they became criminals. Perhaps if Christians actually did as Jesus instructed and loved the unlovable, then we would never get to the point of the petty worries over giving food and clothing and shelter to people who don't deserve it.
And isn't that really the point? That Jesus has given us salvation that we don't deserve, that we will never deserve, that we should be very willing to extend the same forgiveness to others, who also don't deserve it?
As a Christian you are not the owner of the money you possess, it has been given to you by the master. And you are supposed to be investing it to further His wealth.
And what is God's wealth but the souls of the likes of this guy that you condemn.
No problem with that, but he needs to pay his dues for his crimes, then settle up on judgment day.
