Lev.23-10. "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'When you come into the land which I give to you, and reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest. 11. He shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted on your behalf; on the day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. 12. And you shall offer on that day, when you wave the sheaf, a male lamb of the first year, without blemish, as a burnt offering to the Lord. 13 Its grain offering shall be two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to the Lord, for a sweet aroma; and its drink offering shall be of wine, one-fourth of a hin. 14 You shall eat neither bread nor parched grain nor fresh grain until the same day that you have brought an offering to your God; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. On the 17th day of the Nisan moon the firstfruits of the barley harvest was gathered and waved before the Lord in celebration. On the 17th day of Nisan in 32 A.D. Jesus rises up from the grave. He is the firstfruits from the dead. On that very day He fulfilled the feast. We can see that this feast was fulfilled by Jesus also. Rememeber a thousand years is a day and a day is a thousand years to the Lord. In the three spring feasts we see the redemption story of our Saviour as it emerged into history nearly two millennia ago. Our Lord Jesus personally fulfilled all three of those spring feasts. They were accurately fulfilled down to the minutest detail and on the very day of the lunar calendart they were due. Christ was crucified on Passover, in the grave on Unleavened Bread. In the case of the Feast of Firstfruits on the morrow after the sabbath of Passover something wonderful and unexpected happened. Our Saviour once again fulfilled the feast. He rose from the dead on the first day of the week. This was on the morrow after the sabbath following Passover. Thus in His resurrection from the dead He fulfilled the Feast of Firstfruits. Resurrection Sunday came on the very day in which the Feast of Firstfruits had been celebrated, (and foreshadowed), in the Old Covenant since the feast was given by YHVH/God through Moses to the covenant people as they gathered at Sinai.THE FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS IS FULFILLED IN THE NEW COVENANT. CHRIST IS RESURRECTED FROM THE DEAD RIGHT ON FIRSTFRUITS. The Feast of Firstfruits was fulfilled by Jesus in His resurrection. He was the "firstfruits from the dead". 1 Corinthians 15 20. But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23. But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming. Jesus is called "the Firstfruits of those that rise from the dead". (I Corinthians 15:20) Three days and nights after His crucifixion and early in the morning Jesus rose again from the grave. The Resurrection of Jesus came on the first day of the week. That day happened to be the 17th of Nisan, right on the Feast of Firstfruits. Note that the sabbath or 'high day" of the first day of the seven days of Unleavened Bread is then followed by a regular weekly seventh day sabbath, (or Saturday). There were two sabbaths back to back that year, which was 32 A.D.Firstfruits was the first day after the sabbath following Passover. The risen Jesus Christ was seen that morning by Mary near the garden tomb. -John 20:10-18 Later He walked through the wall to visit with the disciples in a closed room. Thomas felt the wound in His side and confirmed that He was not a ghost. He was real. He had a spiritual body. His spiritual body was solidly manifest in this world. He could be touched and felt as a material body. -John 20:24-29 After His resurrection from the dead Jesus met up with James and John by the Sea of Galillee. They were out in their boat fishing. He had bread and was frying some fish for them there by the seashore. -John 21:3-14 Later He joined up with some disciples as they walked down from Jerusalem on the road to Emmaus. (See the wonderful painting above by Robert Zund). This was the manner in which our risen Lord operated in this cosmos during those weeks before He ascended to the Father. He would appear among His people, join in fellowship with them, minister to them, and then disappear. Will this be the pattern of His ministry in the Millennium? We must all die once , but we don't have to fear the second death. One more feast which is Pentecost that has been fulfilled. The last three yet to be filled. Photos and clips are used by permission. A Few Thoughts

No he wasn't, although there is no documented proof of how he looked.
I have seen pics of White, Black, Asian and other races.
To me he would most likely fave the Jewish people of today, which are not dark , but mot white either.
that was supposed to be favor and not, sorry!
I'm sure He looked like everyone else born in Bethlehem. With a society that is obsessed with looks, no wonder Jesus' looks aren't describe in the bible, people would worship Him for His looks instead of what He done for us.
Good point bellbuckletn. I had never really thought about your point until you mentioned it.
I also think it may very well apply to our recent presidential election also. It appears that a little more than half the voters were not looking at what their choice has done for them. They choose someone who has literally done nothing over someone who almost lost his life for us.
"They choose someone who has literally done nothing over someone who almost lost his life for us."
What a bigot-type remark and so untrue. I guess you can say the same thing about G W Bush too.
in the garden,
Let's just hope he does a good job. Just because I do not think he has the experience to deal with matters on a national and more importantly global level does not mean he can not. He may do a great job. I just do not like the odds of him being able to deal with some of the things I think he will have to deal with having such limited experience.
Is Obama really black? I can't see why his color would have anything to do with his shortfall of needed experience.
Evil Monkey,
I thought even you would be able to see the major differences in the experience levels of the two candidates.
What do you think is so awful about the TG.
I think they are about par with all newspapers. Not a lot better. Not a lot worse. They all are just businesses that make a profit from their ads. They can't sell ads if no one is reading their paper. No one will buy a paper unless the reporters come up with some good stories. You just have to take all reporting with a grain of salt and understand it is just their job to tell their stories in a fashion that will sell.
Is Obama really black?
You forget the "one drop" rule.
Or,maybe,it's the "you're whatever your mother was" rule.
If you were to ask the people who screen folks according to their ancestry (rather than their character),turning black, white, brown, red or yellow as an adult has about as much effect on one's worth as any other acquired characteristic.
(That probably includes turning green from gamma rays as much as it does taking on various earth tones due to divine intervention.)
It might affect the altered people's children once the change was passed on but the original individuals would still have the same souls, same experiences and same backgrounds as before their transformations.
They would be the same internally whatever their bodies became.
The traditonal story of Noah and how the different races were created doesn't mention if the races of the spouses were changed nor does it suggest that Noah and his wife changed in their relationships with their family members.
As these factors were omitted in the Biblical accounts of Noah's story, one would assume that Shem,Ham and Japeth lived according to their actions and their relationships with the people around them-not according to their skin color, hair texture or facial features.
Although Biblical accounts suggest that Jesus blended in with the local populace wherever He lived, humans have often chosen to make Christ in their own image.
Perhaps,we should declare ourselves all members of a common human race and try to conform ourselves to Jesus' spiritual nature instead of re-inventing His appearance in the body in light of whatever ethnic heritage we might claim.
