Once all those have repented then evil is gone for eternity as Christ and his followers will rule for eternity.With that being said, I have heard all the theories about the Freemasons, Skulls and whatever other secret societies there may be out there ruling the world from secrecy. The story goes back to the days of old when a certain group came together to form what would have been called O.N.E. or One Nation Earth. It goes as follows. We have the U.N, we have the E.U[which the ANTICHRIST will come out of]Now Obama wants to reshape America, what into his image? I hear that a peace envoy sent by Obama is going to the Middle East to start the peace talk going for Israel. The lyrics are sometimes misquoted as "My Bible AND the Bill of Right.
The original is more inclusive as it can refer to the believer who finds his freedom in the Word or others who revere the independence of the human spirit above all things.
As the web site points out,people are urged to create their own lyrics to speak their own minds and tell their own stories.
It's a way of having us all do the forth-telling a prophet is obliged to do.
A little telling of the truth and a lot of caring,courageous action could remake this country.
We can't wait for some super-hero to rescue us.
We have to be the change we want to see in the world.
Otherwise,the little that gets done might not be to our liking.
Now,do we want to say we shaped the world by the help we offered or by our cowardice,selfishness and indifference?
Then there is the Team America song, I think that is a pretty good song.
Which Team America song?? I can't remember since it has been so long since I have seen it . . . the movie is so funny even though it is so wrong on so many levels. LOL!
As far as unity and bipartisanship goes, Obama has not fared too well on his promise but then I guess it is hard when you have idiots like Pelosi and Boehner but at least Boehner makes some sense in his rhetoric while Pelosi is all about ME ME ME. Of course statements like "I won" by Obama does make him seem a bit frivolous.

It's kind of like the recent South Park episode where they did a parody of Deliverance with Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, and Indiana Jones (and a storm trooper). It was so so wrong but I could not stop laughing . . . it was just funny!

Exactly, quantumcat. We are to be salt and light... In the world, but not of the world. I always try to challenge my "children" to figure out what's variable and what's absolute. AND never, ever back off the absolutes!
your need to get back to the basics, god also warned us of false prophets. not to be judgemental. you take words out of text and put your own meaning to them.

I dont blame him one little bit hhhmmmm. I never understood why churches were always so down on guys with long hair. When every picture man has displayed of Jesus he has long hair and a beard.

A lot of churches draw upon one of Paul's letters to the Corinthians that state it is a shame for a man to have long hair. However, the verses either right before it or right it also mention it is wrong for a woman not to have her head covered.
I guess I could respect their decisions if they were honoring both issues within their assembly. But I think I would have made the same choice as hhhmmm's nephew. His heart was not in his hair but it sure looks like his hair was on his heart.
Even the growing of hair can be an act of love.
They might have bothered to find out whether he was acting out of vanity or rebellion before they started berating him.
(Aren't judges supposed to know the facts of the case before passing sentence?)
A few years ago,some children were suspended from school because they'd shaved their heads.
The authorities decided that smacked too much of Skinheads or other negative gang activity and forbade the students from coming to class until their hair grew back.
It turned out that one of their classmates was losing his hair to chemotherapy.
When he had the remainder of his hair shaved off after his started falling out,they chose to be shorn as well.
They weren't coming to school with chrome-domes because they wanted to grow up to be a villain like Lex Luthor or Dr. Evil.
They were showing solidarity with a friend.
The adults who made that judgement would have retained a lot more of their charges' respect if they,too,had bothered to look upon the hearts and minds of others before acting on their assumptions.
If you look up the original greek in those letters of Paul , the word Long Hair was actually a woven hairpeice.
the word is the greek means ornamental hairpeices.. see strong's concordance # 2864
so it cannot mean a man cannot grow his hair out, long. If so then Paul is contridicting Numbers 6:2-5 where god tells them no razar shall come upon their heads for they are holy.
1 cor. 11:16 sums it up though Paul states that if a man seems argumentitive ( strongs # 5380)about that (the hair issue) , that they have no such custom neither the churchs of God.
So it is not a biggie.
people place restrictions due to their religious ideas. Make up , No makeup, God and silver , no gold and silver... dresses no dresses.
Satan will get us so worked up over trivial things we cannot see and be just what we are supposed to be love and the Body of Christ..

Thanks for that update. It was quite interesting. I had never researched those issues and was amazed at your post.
It is a shame we fail to look and see the heart for the hair, tattoos, and clothes sometimes.
As long as we are in this tent of flesh we probably will never fully understand love. Joyfully there is a day coming when we will be perfected in love.

I noticed on another blog that you mentioned living in the tropics. How did you get the opportunity to live in the tropics?
my father was in the air force in Guam. We were there most of my young adult life. :) miss it....

You have to miss the beautiful turquoise waters and coral reefs though.
i do miss it, we used to read the New York newspapers on Christmas day laughing at the snow, while we were surfing.
Of course i was a shallow teen, now i pray for those people .... no surfing here..

The book arrived today that you recommended. I'll start reading it tonight and will be able to tell you soon what I think of it.
I just found a copy of the book NEW WORLD ORDER by Pat Robertson in a box of stuff in my garage.
Don't remember where or when I got it, I never even read[I will now] Amazing what you will find when you forage through boxes in the house.
I believe my Father-in-law used to have it, and since he passed away my mother-in-law has come to stay with us.
Maybe it was a inspired find, we shall see!
Assyrians were a race of splendidly bearded men. To the point of vanity, they lavished care and attention on their beards, having them elaborately curled, plaited, and arranged.
Israelite men of old wore beards of moderate length, and they used a razor to keep them well trimmed.
So, what did God's Law mean when it commanded Israelite men not to 'cut their sidelocks short around' or "destroy the extremity" of their beards?
This was not a command against trimming one's hair or beard. Rather, it discouraged Israelite men from imitating the extreme religious practices of neighboring pagan nations.--Leviticus 19:27; Jeremiah 9:25, 26; 25:23; 49:32.
In ancient Greek society, beards were normally worn by all except the nobility, who were often clean-shaven.
In Rome the habit of shaving seems to have started in the second century B.C.E., and for several centuries thereafter, a daily shave remained the custom.
Although the men of Israel wore beards and moderately long hair, mention is made also of having the hair "shorn" (KJ), or "clipped short" (NW), at Acts 18:18. (See also 2Sa 19:24; Eze 44:20.)
The Levites shaved all their flesh with a razor in connection with their installation into service at the tent of meeting in the wilderness. (Nu 8:7)
A person under a Nazirite vow was not to use a razor on his head until the completion of the period of his vow. (Nu 6:5, 18; Jg 13:5; 16:17; Ac 21:23, 24)
Samuel, a Levite, was devoted by his mother before his birth to the service of the tent of meeting. A razor was never to be used on the hair of his head.--1Sa 1:11.
With the fall of the Roman Empire, however, the beard once again prevailed, doing so for 1,000 years until the second half of the 17th century, when shaving became the vogue. The clean-shaven look continued through the 18th century. But then, by the mid-to-late 19th century, the pendulum began to swing the other way and men wore stylish, well-trimmed beards that were dignified and appropriate for their time. In the early part of the 20th century, however, shaving enjoyed a resurgence of popularity that has endured in most countries to our day.
What about the length of one's hair today? Just as the natural length of hair differs among races, so do customs and personal tastes. The short style of men's hair in the Western world is patterned after the Roman custom, and it is considerably shorter than the style common for Jewish men in Jesus' time. Similarly, women today quite often cut their hair shorter than was usual among ancient women. Yet, there is still a marked difference between the sexes. So, while personal taste and local custom have a definite bearing on how long a Christian man wears his hair, he does want it to reflect his masculinity. Similarly, Christian women style their hair modestly and with evident femininity, so it will be a glory for them.--1 Pet. 3:3; 1 Tim. 2:9; 1 Cor. 11:15.
In either case, though, mature Christians, men or women, take into consideration how their personal appearance will affect others. This is so that "in no way are we giving any cause for stumbling, that our ministry might not be found fault with; but in every way we recommend ourselves as God's ministers."--2 Cor. 6:3, 4.

Well, what did Pat Robertson have to say about the New World Order in his book? Did he predict who would bring it into existence? Pat always did a lot of bragging about his predictions being more accurate than most Mediums, Psychics and Fortune Tellers.
I know it doesn't have anything to do with long hair on men, but I would think that if There is neither Jew nor Greek; there is neither bond nor free; there is neither male nor female; Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything. Then neither hair or no hair would mean anything. what counts is a new creation.
