28:1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of Jehovah thy God, to observe to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that Jehovah thy God will set thee on high above all the nations of the earth: 28:2 and all these blessings shall come upon thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of Jehovah thy God. 28:3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. 28:4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy beasts, the increase of thy cattle, and the young of thy flock. 28:5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy kneading-trough. 28:6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. 28:7 Jehovah will cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thee: they shall come out against thee one way, and shall flee before thee seven ways. 28:8 Jehovah will command the blessing upon thee in thy barns, and in all that thou puttest thy hand unto; and he will bless thee in the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee. 28:9 Jehovah will establish thee for a holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee; if thou shalt keep the commandments of Jehovah thy God, and walk in his ways. 28:10 And all the peoples of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of Jehovah; and they shall be afraid of thee. 28:11 And Jehovah will make thee plenteous for good, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which Jehovah sware unto thy fathers to give thee. 28:12 Jehovah will open unto thee his good treasure the heavens, to give the rain of thy land in its season, and to bless all the work of thy hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. 28:13 And Jehovah will make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if thou shalt hearken unto the commandments of Jehovah thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do `them', 28:14 and shalt not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
Deuteronomy 28:1-14 ASV I thought this would be adequate for the state we are in, if we would have followed what God's Word stated, we would not be in the shape we are in now. Israel did not and they have been in dire straits for centuries.We as a nation founded on the same beliefs used to flourish and had want nor need for anything, that is why we became the Superpower that we did. Sure we had our little problems, here and there, but we always seen our way through it. Like in the verse in Rev. 3:14 And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God: 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 3:16 So because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spew thee out of my mouth. 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and have gotten riches, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art the wretched one and miserable and poor and blind and naked: Revelation 3:14-17 ASV After America got blessed they forgot where the blessings came from, the same as Israel. America as a whole can be called the church of Laodecia because most Christians as a whole are wishy washy, they ride the fence line on issues without making up their mind and to follow the Bible! As a Son or Daughter of Christ, you can't ride the fencepost, you either go with the Bible or you don't! It is obvious that the blessings are leaving America with the absence of morality, and the worse is yet to come. Absence of Blessings comes Cursing , and I believe we are seeing those now. Build it and they will come?
Maybe,Marvin,you can give part of Union Station (or some other holding) to God.
You have buildings waiting to be filled.
God has hearts waiting to be filled.
Maybe,if God becomes a majority stockholder in your ventures,His wisdom and power will give your projects the impetus they need.

How can I give what is already His.
I am a mere temporary caretaker of part of His holdings. He is the only stockholder of everything. What is not His? If His then not mine. I am only passing through on a dusty road home.
Our true home awaits us. If it was not so, He would have told us so.
Why are you not building the church? Why are you avoiding the question?

You are too busy trying to tear down what "church" is being built.
For every two nails I drive you try to pull three.
You are worried about me building and I am concerned over you tearing down.
The "church" is a project that has been under construction for thousands of years.
It has weathered many a storm more worrisome than you. It will stand all test of time.

We'll just do what He asks of us,day by day,to the best of our abilities and let HIS ability take care of the rest.

You won't have residents waiting on the businesses and businesses waiting on the residents because God will have already moved in with an active church.
(It need not be a church building to start.)
You have certain opportunities and competencies in your grasp.
Turn the issues of the economy and legal hassles over to the Lord.
(He'll be up all night anyway.)
Let Him give you the tasks of helping provide homes,encourage business,rid the community of dangerous places and eyesores,preserve our natural and architectural heritage and make this community as convenient,beautiful and healthy as others are trying to make it kind and just and creative.
All of us could have the desires of our heart if we join with God to achieve HIS desires in a spirit of meekness.
If we all come together and ask for the guidance and resources to do what He would have done,then no earthly obstacles can stand in our way.
I don't know what He wants for Marvin Parker or Michael Bell or anyone else except that He wants us all to do well and do good!
So long as we are putting God first,we need not worry about IF we'll come out ahead or even when.
We'll just do what He asks of us,day by day,to the best of our abilities and let HIS ability take care of the rest.

You know, he may be one of those that has read your disparging comments about the Bible being fantasy and somewhat fell for it.
Why not give him a true hope that is revealed in the Bible?
Again, I ask you to condider my question. What do you have to gain by dragging others off into a state of disbelief with you?
I am offering him information of a Hope of eternity in a mansion.

Have you read much about Polycarp? I think he felt the same way. He was a very smart man that knew the small value of the temporal body and the vast greatness of the eternal soul.
For some reason your comment jarred Polycarp back up in me.

I agree we are a christian nation of fence riders we don't want to hurt anyones feelings and we think we have to be politicaly correct. I guess if your not making someone mad or stepping on someones toes then you are a luke warm christian.

"that book" will instuct you to where your home is so you will know that you are not The HomelessGuy.
You belong in a mansion that has been prepared for you. The map home was planted in "that book". Read it and find the map left for you.

Michael, that was the BEST message I have heard from you. God Bless You, and keep doing GODS' WILL. I heard no Bias or prejudice toward no one, and it did not sound like (SELF) giving a message, but scriptures with examples of todays times and what God wants us all to realize. Great Job! And yes I believe that too. Sometimes we have to be SHAKEN UP, to remember who HOLDS THE WORLD AND ALL THAT IS IN IT. "Who you going to call, when you've lost your job, home, way of living and security?" The first thing out our mouths is "LORD PLEASE HELP!" I was in that position several months back, slightly scared, but yet knowing that God has kept me and my family through passed hard times, and I knew he would bring us through. And he did. I also learned years back, when you give, and help others you are blessed in returned. Also the bible saids Gods children will never go hungry, and I believe that too, even through hard times he always brings forth your needs some how. He is the TRUE, ONE and ONLY MIRACLE WORKER! "SPREAD IT". Amen!
Sorry, but I don't believe that Salvation rides on whether or not you "got with the Bible." And Christian worth his salt will admit that the Bible is as flawed as the hearts of the men who wrote it. People who actually study the Bible know that their are problems with that book.
