Political Correctness!

Posted Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at 7:21 PM

You always hear the phrase "political correctness" thrown around these days, things you can't say, do or write, even in biblical days there was the same problem going around.

I don't use the slang words to describe any race, gender or others , but when the bible says something is wrong then I don't try to change it. There was a case in the time of Moses where the people got freed from slavery, seen the miracles of God, but still they wanted to be politically correct.

32:1 And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him. 32:2 And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden rings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me. 32:3 And all the people brake off the golden rings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron. 32:4 And he received it at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, and made it a molten calf: and they said, These are thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. 32:5 And when Aaron saw `this', he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To-morrow shall be a feast to Jehovah. 32:6 And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt-offerings, and brought peace-offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play. 32:7 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, that thou broughtest up out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves: 32:8 they have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed unto it, and said, These are thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. 32:9 And Jehovah said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people: 32:10 now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation. 32:11 And Moses besought Jehovah his God, and said, Jehovah, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, that thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? 32:12 Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, saying, For evil did he bring them forth, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people. 32:13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever. 32:14 And Jehovah repented of the evil which he said he would do unto his people. 32:15 And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, with the two tables of the testimony in his hand; tables that were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written. 32:16 And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables. 32:17 And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said unto Moses, There is a noise of war in the camp. 32:18 And he said, It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome; but the noise of them that sing do I hear. 32:19 And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount. 32:20 And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it with fire, and ground it to powder, and strewed it upon the water, and made the children of Israel drink of it. 32:21 And Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou hast brought a great sin upon them? 32:22 And Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou knowest the people, that they are `set' on evil. 32:23 For they said unto me, Make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him. 32:24 And I said unto them, Whosoever hath any gold, let them break it off: so they gave it me; and I cast it into the fire, and there came out this calf. 32:25 And when Moses saw that the people were broken loose, (for Aaron had let them loose for a derision among their enemies,) 32:26 then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Whoso is on Jehovah's side, `let him come' unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him. 32:27 And he said unto them, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, Put ye every man his sword upon his thigh, and go to and fro from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbor. 32:28 And the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men. 32:29 And Moses said, Consecrate yourselves to-day to Jehovah, yea, every man against his son, and against his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day. 32:30 And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto Jehovah; peradventure I shall make atonement for your sin. 32:31 And Moses returned unto Jehovah, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold. 32:32 Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin-; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. 32:33 And Jehovah said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. 32:34 And now go, lead the people unto `the place' of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine angel shall go before thee; nevertheless in the day when I visit, I will visit their sin upon them. 32:35 And Jehovah smote the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.

Exodus 32:1-35

Egypt had its many God's and forbade the Israelites to worship the one true God, God called up Moses to free the people which he did, but because of habit or other reasons they chose to go back to the old pagan ways of their slave owners, and you see what it got them.

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/arti...

This news story plus several others tell me that Christian people are considered to be the enemy because as a whole we stand foe a certain right and wrong, not no in between or to the far liberal side of anything goes.

The so called fairness doctrine is being talked about you have to have equal time for both sides, the media might, but true churches who follow Christ will not.

Pastors and even a president being sued for using the term Islamio- Fascist[ which the ones that filed the lawsuit by the way]

Obama was to popular at Notre Dame was he?

Obama and Netanyahu are meeting this week on the future of Israel and Pakistan and the peace that will come from having 2 states with a split Jerusalem as a capital.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/05/...

To America and the rest of the road map to peace pushers, Israel is not yours to divide up, or is that the politically correct thing to do?

3:2 that ye should remember the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and the commandments of the Lord and Saviour through your apostles: 3:3 knowing this first, that in the last days mockers shall come with mockery, walking after their own lusts, 3:4 and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

2 Peter 3:2-4

1:17 But ye, beloved, remember ye the words which have been spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 1:18 That they said to you, In the last time there shall be mockers, walking after their own ungodly lusts.

Jude 1:17-18

2:3 let no man beguile you in any wise: for `it will not be,' except the falling away come first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,

2 Thessalonians 2:3

4:1 But the Spirit saith expressly, that in later times some shall fall away from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons,

1 Timothy 4:1

4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts; 4:4 and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside unto fables.

2 Timothy 4:3-4

So as you can see to be

"politically correct" is to be "biblically incorrect"

To agree to divide up Israel is wrong and I hope that the powers that be reconsiders, but since God is in control and all things are done for his glory, things must take place even though it goes against the bible for him to show himself.

In these days pray and cling to God's Word as close as you can for we are fixing to see some prophecies come to pass.

Christians must stand up and put on the whole armor of God and prepare for battle for the enemy is closer than you think. Stand up and be heard and make a difference!

Be Blessed!

Perhaps you can visit parkerbros at the jail, and you two can study this together. He has plenty of time.

parkerbros been convicted?

-- Posted by Evil Monkey on Wed, May 20, 2009, at 12:13 AM

I have not heard yet.

While our local paper has not covered it, Marvin was found guilty of felony assault. He was denied bail and taken straight to jail. He is now a convicted felon. Goes to show money can't buy you out of eveything. Maybe the paper will step up to the plate and cover this local story.

-- Posted by Chef Boy R.D. on Wed, May 20, 2009, at 7:29 AM

Chef Boy RD . . . why should the paper report it when you gossip about it like teenage girls? I mean really . . . what point did your comment serve but to only to show your lack of maturity of discussing the post at hand.

Maybe you can grow up and actually discuss things in an adult manner without throwing someone's business out in the air. I really don't care for Parkerbros but I failed to see what point your comment made.

Michael . . . I think we should always be respectful of other people no matter what their race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation may be because that is the Christian thing to do. You don't have to believe in their ideology or beliefs but respect them as a person and be the better person.

Amen jaxspike!

We reap what we sow.

Marvin is still pre-trial. Judge revolked his bond and is currently being held without bond in Bedford County Jail.

Now back to subject, which is?

The most important verse here is Exodus 32:33, because here is the statement that removes the concept of whether once saved you can be removed from God's book of life. The answer given by Him is "He will blot out", so those that preach once saved always saved had better heed this warning. Why?- because there is no exceptions stated.

Palestine, Palestine- If we do not allow the people the freedom to form a state, then we are denying them the same right we forced on them by allowing the Israeli's to form a state out of Palestine which at the time was under British control. I am not sure a divide Jerusalem is the answer, but, Tel Aviv which is the capitol of Isreal is the center of all Isreal decision making. Jerusalem is only important because it was the historical site of the Temple. Building in the West Bank is being done in occupied territory that was not given to Isreal for thier state originally. I believe some answer is needed to which all parties must abide by. Until the Palestianians have there own state and sovereign rights then there will be no peace and the other Arab or Muslim countries are getting tired of being pushed around by the neighborhood bully, so eventually a major war will occur that will be fast and completely devastating to the Israeli nation. President Obama is right in trying to get people to help stabilize the region by giving sovereignty to a Palestinian state.

If I read correctly, we are responsible for ourselves, and are judged according to our individual sins. I am not held accountable for everyone and therefore am advised to take care of my brothers and sisters. Since, I do not condone the actions of sinners, does not mean I cannot participate in helping them (mainly by my own life example) and should. I should not go out of my way to persecute anyone, but, when addressed should inform the sinner(s) of what "I believe" is correct behaviour (be true to yourself and God). I try to follow what I believe is God's law and the laws of my country. Where the two laws conflict, I chose and follow God's law even though I can not force others to do the same. If this is called liberalism then I do not understand the word. I call it conservatism, as I try to walk a narrow path. The Armor of God is designed for the individuals protection (Defense), it is not meant to be used as offense against your fellow man, to harm them physically, instead it is to help them spiritually.

Just my opinion. Peace

Whoops! I see that Marvin was found guilty, am sorry I did't know when I made my statement.

-- Posted by dipperdan on Wed, May 20, 2009, at 9:19 AM

Yeah I didn't know about this either. I read about it as well. There must have been some pretty stiff proof or was it more Hearsay?

-- Posted by Evil Monkey on Wed, May 20, 2009, at 12:02 PM

Just goes to show that using God as pulpit lip service does no good, if you don't live it in your daily life... Ah... Justice. Beautiful.

-- Posted by nascarfanatic on Wed, May 20, 2009, at 4:08 PM

I will comment one time only on Marvin as I expect to get razzed, which is fine.

Personally, he never crossed me in any way, he put a proposition on the table for a building for a church and I told him if he built it I would take charge of it, that was it, we did not pal around or anything.

He does have a anger issue it seems and if and when he gets out, that will have to be evaluated before this business deal goes any further.

After sentenced, I hope he takes advantage of the time to reflect on what happened and comes to grips with his problem, I wish him all the best.

As far as Roger Ritch goes, I have one of the houses he built, though mine is legit, we met personally and he was bible thumpin also saying that he was fulfilling God's will to help people own homes, well as it goes to show, evil is upon all mens hearts what makes the difference is how you act on that evil.

My views on nothing changes for I was this way before Marvin and I will be this way until God sees fit to call me home.

Be Blessed!

I was stateing the fact that Marvin Parker was found guilty in a court of law and is now in jail. That is all fact. Curious that it took the paper two days to disclose this item. Jaxspike, they will get all the respect criminals are due. None. Now Roger Rich is in jail, or out on bond, with multiple charges. Guess he and Marvin can have a bible study together.

-- Posted by Chef Boy R.D. on Wed, May 20, 2009, at 7:28 PM

Chef Boy RD . . . again, you didn't answer my question. What did your comment have to do with this post? NOTHING! You used that situation to disparage Michael just because you don't believe in the same beliefs he does. I think you can communicate that without bringing parkerbros situation into the mix. I really don't care for the guy but I don't see what benefit it brings to constantly bring up his situation and especially on blogs that have nothing to do with that particular situation.

As far as the TG waiting two days to disclose the information . . . they have ran several stories in the past about the incident and trial in regards to that so it is not like they were keeping anything secret. Plus, sometimes TG is a bit slow in releasing certain things online but that is how it works sometimes . . . it is nothing new. I am sure they like to keep some intrigue so people will continue to buy the actual paper which is where they make their income.

-- Posted by jaxspike on Thu, May 21, 2009, at 7:54 AM

Parker Brothers is in jail, huh?

Oh well, at least people can have actual discussions on this blog now without his ineffectual arguments inserted in-between every other comment. If any man believed in his own omniscience, it was without a doubt that man.

-- Posted by Runnin' By on Thu, May 21, 2009, at 12:23 PM

Ever noticed how easy it is to comment on someone when they can't respond? Just sayin'.....

-- Posted by bkpow on Thu, May 21, 2009, at 1:48 PM

Jax, many or my beliefs are as Mr Bell's in that I believe in Jesus and God. I still think he likes to talk down to us uneducated believers, while he has never had any training himself. He does not attend services, save for here lately. I think the Bible calls for on not to forsake the assembly, but that must not apply to him. My point was that Marvin Parker, convicted felon, was a bible thumper, as Mr Bell described Roger Rich. Full of hot air telling others how to live, but that they can do as they please.

-- Posted by Chef Boy R.D. on Thu, May 21, 2009, at 7:06 PM

Yup.. it is all mind control. Organized religion at its finest.

-- Posted by nascarfanatic on Thu, May 21, 2009, at 11:16 PM

Not telling how to live, but how they should live, including myself.

We all fall short.

-- Posted by michaelbell on Fri, May 22, 2009, at 6:30 AM

How is telling someone how to live and how they should live different? You just said you do what you don't do. You make zero sense.

Anyone looking for guidance on a freaking internet blog by a dude who can barely understand the English language has serious problems.

I pity anyone who reads what you write and agrees with you at all.

-- Posted by iheartlanekiffin on Fri, May 22, 2009, at 5:47 PM

What Parker Brothers done was wrong, we all have done something or said something we regret, and had to endure bad consequences from it. I do not care to kick a person when they are down. We have to pray for him, and other people as well that have done things they should have not.

-- Posted by Momof3&3step&1gran on Sat, May 23, 2009, at 12:21 AM

one thing I hope Obama passes, though doubtful.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/05/...

To Iheartlanekiffin, my not understanding the English language is old news on here, I write the way I speak so get used to it.

There is a difference in how you do something and how you should do something.

-- Posted by michaelbell on Sat, May 23, 2009, at 5:54 AM

You are so incomprehensible. Just because you write the way you talk doesn't mean you talk or write correctly. If you expect to be taken seriously then you should actually try to come across as intelligent. If you don't try hard enough to even write a grammatically correct sentence, then it tells me you certainly didn't think very hard about anything you wrote.

It just says you're lazy and you don't care.

Also, you said "Not telling how to live, but how they should live, including myself." Don't act like you said something different. You said you weren't telling someone how to live, but instead how they should live. Now you're saying its a difference between how people do something and how they should do something? Those are two unrelated points. One is coherent, one is not. Still, I don't expect you to understand what I'm saying at all.

Go get an English text book and proofread what the hell you're writing before you hit submit. You sound incredibly stupid, lazy, and not very well thought out at all.

-- Posted by iheartlanekiffin on Sat, May 23, 2009, at 11:44 AM

If I were writing a book I would, but this is only a blog, and MY BLOG at that, so as I have told the rest, if you don't like what you read , then read elsewhere.

-- Posted by michaelbell on Sat, May 23, 2009, at 2:17 PM

I'll read what I want, just like you'll be ignorant and lazy when expressing your "views."

-- Posted by iheartlanekiffin on Sun, May 24, 2009, at 3:31 AM

iheartlanekiffin

If you don't understand his point, then, you are probably among the few intellectually boring simpletons who think they should police others thoughts and actions.

Get a life! No one really cares to see you belittle someone else.

I believe your intent is misguided(naive) and unintelligent.

If you're intentionally seeking blunders, to satisfy some misguided superiority complex, then,

look in the mirror and see one of mother natures.

Peace
