Dear Mr.Obama

Posted Sunday, August 23, 2009, at 8:15 AM

Like many Americans I am having my coffee and breakfast while catching up on the news and it has been brought to my attention that as a lot of people do when they reach their last chance, they find God.

People go to prison and or to death row and they find Jesus, some do, some don't only God knows.

Your health plan is not going as planned so you reached out to the Christian community you have shunned earlier.

You went to a Muslim nation and declared "we are not a Christian nation" this may be true, but you were the first to say it.

We are not a Christian nation now, we once were and as in all of history , a remnant remains, for which I am proud to say I am one, the Bible states, " to choose this day who you will serve" I chose long ago!

You seek to change the oldest ceremony known to man which is marriage, which God ordained to be with one man and one woman, no other way is to be accepted.

You want to make abortion for any reason the law of the land, it would take a cemetery one mile wide long and one mile wide to hold the 40 million plus that have gone to heaven now, your conscience must be numb to this.

You have put us into a debt for which our third generation kids will have to pay, unless they are all aborted that is.

when your OBAMACARE started to fail you reached out to the clergy to get them to preach your message:

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2...

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/08/...

http://www.politicsdaily.com/2009/08/19/...

I gave three sources as to not be accused of being biased.

Our government which you are in charge of now goes to great lengths to keep separation of church and state in which the ACLU is the forerunner by catching teachers praying or silencing a students speech for fear that she or he might say something "religious".

The Ten Commandments are being taken off of or being kept off of anything to do with government.

These are the foundation which our nation was founded, take away the foundation and the house"[nation] will crumble!

" In God We Trust" and "One Nation Under God" are being questioned and will probably soon be a thing of the past.

Prayer is already taken out of schools, what is next, the home?

The ones in charge at the time of Jesus showed him a coin with a picture of Caesar on it and asked if it was lawful to give tax to Caesar as to trick Jesus. Jesus replied, "Give to Caesar's what is Caesar's and give to God what is Gods" the leaders were speechless!

You may get my taxes for that is yours, but my faith, soul, spirit and life belong to the Lord God above and none other!

You as leader of our government want to keep church out of state affairs, that is your choice, but keep you state affairs out of my church, for it is a House of worship, not a den of thieves!

Sincerely yours

Michael Bell

In Re:

U.S. v. Minker, 350 U.S. 179, 187

After a hearing he was adjudged in contempt for so doing and fined $500. The Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit reversed, holding that while the power to subpoena under 235 (a) was available for investigations directed toward denaturalization proceedings, "respondent as a "(putative) defendant" in such a proceeding was not a "witness" within the meaning of the section", and the Service was, therefore, without power to subpoena him. 4 217 F.2d 350.

The court "Generally regarded him as a person within the description of the statute" when in fact he was not within the meaning of a "witness".

Had he not appealed the court's decision, he would have been guilty as charged and the fine would apply.

Volume 16, American Jurisprudence 2d, Constitutional Law, §818 Definiteness or Vagueness of Laws, Regulations and Orders, states:

"It is a general principle of statutory law that a statute must be definite to be valid."

The laws we are charged with must be very definite to be valid. It must describe you as the correct person liable for that law and there must be a statute or code defining every detail or it is an "ex post facto law" which is contrary to the U.S. Constitution and TN State Constitution.

If we don't read the statute or code ourselves to determine if it is definite and applies to us or not, we waive our rights in the court by letting them charge us and in most cases find us guilty for the crime.

Or you can read it better here:

Volume 16, American Jurisprudence 2d, Sec 177 late 2d, Sec 256:

The "("general misconception")" is that any statute passed by legislators bearing the appearance of law constitutes the law of the land. The U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land, and any statute, to be valid, must be In agreement. It is impossible for both the Constitution and a law violating it to be valid; one must prevail. This is succinctly stated as follows:

The General rule is that an unconstitutional statute, though having the form and name of law is in reality no law, but is wholly void, and ineffective for any purpose; since unconstitutionality dates from the time of it's enactment and not merely from the date of the decision so branding it. An unconstitutional law, in legal contemplation, is as inoperative as if it had never been passed. Such a statute leaves the question that it purports to settle just as it would be had the statute not been enacted.

Since an unconstitutional law is void, the general principles follow that it imposes no duties, confers no rights, creates no office, bestows no power or authority on anyone, affords no protection, and justifies no acts performed under it.....

A void act cannot be legally consistent with a valid one. An unconstitutional law cannot operate to supersede any existing valid law. Indeed, insofar as a statute runs counter to the fundamental law of the lend, it is superseded thereby.

No one Is bound to obey an unconstitutional law and no courts are bound to enforce it.

Does that explain it in a way that you can understand it?

U.S. v. Minker, 350 U.S. 179, 187

I looked this up it has to do with illegal immigration.............

please explain how it applys and show me just where I missed your reference here, where is it found in your reference????

As I have said earlier you do have a unique understanding of God's word that seems to be yours and yours alone.

May you find the Peace, Joy and Blessed Assurance it gives from a proper understanding.

I don't deserve to be in the Rapture nor the first Resurrection. I must wait till after the thousand years to be Resurrected. I won't be first nor last. I know my place because I know the Truth of His Word. Anyone who truly understand God's word, knows what their destiny will be.

You still seem a little excited there unique. Calm down a little before you blow another fuse.

And I also say unto you my friend unique, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

Again, just enjoy the Peace and Joy that comes from knowing we are His.

This tent of flesh is nothing to lose unique.

Remember, Paul told us the dead in Christ shall rise first. You have a some kind of problem being first?

The One World Order is taking your God Given Rights away and you tell me to relax?

I know my rights and fight for them everyday.

If you don't know your rights, YOU HAVE NO RIGHTS!

The above post was to defend myself from your insinuation that I am making up the biggest Lie I can come up with.

If you can not stand up for your God Given Rights, how on earth will you stand up to the Anti-Christ and the Breast with his Mark and image.

All the information in the above post I have known for 25+ years. It isn't something that just came up or happened. I am learning more as each year goes by.

Not only is the Truth Hidden in the Bible, but so is the Law in the Law Books.

"Because of what appears to be a lawful command on the surface, many Citizens, because of respect for the law, are cunningly coerced into waiving their rights due to ignorance."

U.S. v. Minker, 350 U.S. 179, 187

Our High Courts have ruled: "All actions of government are legal actions, though they may NOT BE LAWFUL ACTIONS, AND unless THE action is TIMELY and SPECIFICALLY OBJECTED TO, it is presumed to be lawful actions."

For example, the supreme law of our land is... Common Law. Also referred to as Constitutional Law. The correct Legal definition is all laws of the United States that are created in harmony with and pursuant to the Constitution of the United States is the law of the land.

After the Slaves were freed and given a U.S. citizenship along with all the citizens of the territories and possessions that the U.S. owned, purchased, was given or won, it created a whole new class of citizens subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the U.S. (Central Government). Our Government never had citizens of it's own before. So congress had to change the laws so they could be applied to these new "Federal Citizens".

They came up with the "Uniform Commercial Code". Now we are tried by laws that were created to save the business world from the People. They refer to it as "Statutory Law". A form of "Law and Equity", to do away with common law, the supreme law of the land. We the People have Rights, Businesses have Privileges and Civil Rights. Constitutional Rights came from our Creator while Civil Rights came from our Central Government.

That should be about all you need to know at this time.

Getting back to Enjoying and appreciating the Peace and Joy...

It is all coming and you don't even know it, because you are counting on our Lord to reach down here and pull you off the earth so you don't have to deal with the coming turmoil and disasters against mankind.

How will YOU know the Anti-Christ when you don't see anything happening around you. Didn't you look at the articles Michael Bell posted that informed us that Obama was using the Clergy to do his bidding? It all starts off innocently, then all hell breaks lose and it's too late to change... Once the Clergy joins Obama, you won't have a chance in the world to see what is happening because you will believe what your preachers tell you.

Relax a little there unique-lies. You get too excited sometimes. :)

Enjoy and appreciate the Peace and Joy provided to His own. He has already paid the price of it for us.

John F printed millions in Silver Certificates and introduced the Kennedy Half Dollar. When Jonson took over he was having the certificates destroyed as Kennedy was being buried. That's how fast the Bilderberg Group works. The silver was melted down at the same time. Very few coins or certificates if any ever reached circulation. I remember Vice Pres Johnson taking over as President and stating on radio and TV that we were not to hoard silver. He went on to say this country had more than enough silver. It was reported that the half dollar was too heavy a coin to carry around in our pockets so they were going to make them lighter, but only minted Kennedy Half Dollars at that time in it's place that was worth much less than 50 cents and it was a while before I ever seen any. I thought they had stopped minting half dollars completely.

If Kennedy had succeeded in circulating the certificates and coins, we would not be in debt, but since the Federal Reserve ordered them destroyed, they never were circulated so the debt of the US just kept on growing.

The federal reserve keeps telling congress to approve more money from the federal reserve for wars, helping other countries and stimulus package money to bail out companies that should be closed and CEO's imprisoned.

You are so comforted by what Paul told the Thessalonians that you have your head in the sand and don't know what is going on right here in your own back yard, perpetrated by your own Congress and Central Government.

Don't believe me, read the "Trading with the enemy act of Oct. 6, 1917" as amended March 9, 1933 and The Coinage Act of 1965, Pub.L. 89-81, 79 Stat. 254, enacted July 23, 1965.

Also read proclamations 2038, 2039 and 2040 that President F.D.R. used to rape the American people and took the Gold from the people and included the United States citizens as the enemy whenever this country is at war or in a state of emergency, which it is in right now.

Your search engine should take you right to them.

Some Senators say we no longer have a Constitution, but they have no idea what they are talking about.

Unique-Lies -

You're not trying to see just how big a lie you can tell are you? :))))-

-- Posted by Blessed Assurance on Fri, Sep 18, 2009, at 8:12 PM

President John F. Kennedy realized this and had millions of Silver certificated printed up and started minting silver coins to cover the national dept.

Posted by Unique-Lies on Fri, Sep 18, 2009, at 2:26 PM

That is a new one on me. I collect old coins and currency and 1957 was the last year a silver certificate was printed. If you have one that Kennedy had anything to do with you have a rare and "unique" gem.

I also didn't realize Kennedy started minting silver coins either. Actually the last of the true silver coins was nearing it's end during Kennedy's time.

Obama is a man just like any other man in this country.

I believe Obama had and has good intentions of doing things for the people just like he promised. Only thing is, Obama can't. He is just a puppet like all the other Presidents being controlled by higher up thugs.

President Lincoln freed the slaves and printed up the green back money. He was assassinated! An honest President so why was he killed? Was he too honest, or for freeing the slaves or was it because he dared to print up the "Green backs"? Lincoln was fooling around with the American Currency so he was stopped.

The last good president this country had was John F. Kennedy. Why did he all of a sudden get Assassinated? Kennedy discovered and understood what President Franklyn D. Roosevelt had done to our country and tried to make it right.

Franklyn D took the Gold away from the American People and replaced it with Federal Reserve Notes that are only redeemable for another Federal Reserve Note. Franklyn D. also Tricked congress into signing into law changes to the Trading with the enemy act (which declared US citizens as the enemy anytime this country is at war or in a state of emergency) Then He declared the United States in a state of emergency and only the president could appeal it. He added a law giving the President power over congress when our country is in a state of emergency.

President John F. Kennedy realized this and had millions of Silver certificated printed up and started minting silver coins to cover the national dept.

Kennedy was assassinated and the first thing President Johnson done was destroy the silver certificated and melted down the silver coins and passed the coinage act of 1965

(The Coinage Act of 1965, Pub.L. 89-81, 79 Stat. 254, enacted July 23, 1965, eliminated silver from the circulating dimes and quarter dollars of the United States, and diminished the silver content of the half dollar from 90% to 40%.)

This now changed our currency to federal reserve notes and removed all lawful money from the states according to the US Constitution in Article I, Section 10: No State shall... make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts;...

President Johnson had a heart attack and died after his term was up. He found out how this country is run and died from guilt of being a part of it.

Two Presidents assassinated because they fooled around with our money, yet President Johnson survived because he did what he was told to do.

It looks like President Obama is doing what he is told to do also, because he has done just the opposite of everything he swore he would do for the people and our country.

What did Obama Promise and how has he fulfilled his promises:

http://www.youtube.com/v/eAaQNACwaLw

This will open your eyes! If you are a saved Christian like you profess, this should not bother you in the least, but strengthen you in your faith and wait for His return.

Don't take my word for anything. Find out for yourself. See what your Congress is doing to you. They had 20 minutes to read a 2,000 page document before they voted and was told to approve it or the states would be under martial law the next day.

Obama is the least of your worries!

The year 2012 everyone is talking about just might be the Beginning of the new One World Order!

Pray for the Rapture you think is coming to get you and take you away, before it all happens...

accidentally came across this silly blog page and just thought id give a reality check to the oh so holy, obama has way too important decisions to make to be sitting around waiting on god to tell him what to do. politics and religion dont mix! finally we have an honest president to stand up to your non sense and take charge. he's getting things done!!!! hes a harvard grad with a obove average education and its much better to trust someone who spent quality time getting a real education than a bunch of dreamers spending their time in churches learning fairy tales and molesting alter boys. thats how the real world thinks. you have the freedom and right to live how you wish and so does everyone else. thats what god really wants, so stop slapping him in the face and telling the general public what to think

If we, as who call ourselves Christian, then we have a obligation to pray for our leaders. They may not be doing everything right, or our way, but we should hit our knees and pray.

Pray for wisdom and mercy, pray for honesty and clarity.

I don't agree with everything political folks say, but i can wisely look at both side and say: Hey this might work or that, have you thought of this instead?

We need to pray instead of bicker and complain.

I don't follow either party line, when I vote it is according to biblical principals.

-- Posted by michaelbell on Wed, Aug 26, 2009, at 12:46 PM

Michael Bell, I don't ride the fence as you say. I believe in common sense and reasoning and see the good and bad of both sides and try and make an INFORMED decision from both. I try and not follow political party lines or get consumed by political rhetoric. To me, just following some political party line is riding the fence and not really think for yourself.

Darrick,

Don't have a clue what happened or why at Bart Gordons health care town hall meeting. I wasn't there. I really don't see what your point is either. Although I do agree you need some enlightening, lol.

-- Posted by darrick_04 on Tue, Aug 25, 2009, at 9:24 PM

Greasemonkey,

Please enlighten me on why all of Bart Gordon's constituents demanded a town hall meeting, but proceeded to shout over his answers (which, again, they were demanding)... Seems to defeat the purpose of wanting answers, if you aren't even considering the response.

Curious, how many here have actually been to a single health care town hall debate? It would interesting to know, who has eye witness accounts or MSNBC and FOX news accounts. News 2's live report last night never named the location of the meeting, the building it was held in, and the clips they showed were merely pathetic representations of what actually took place.

-- Posted by darrick_04 on Tue, Aug 25, 2009, at 8:31 PM

I have no problem with the ones who totally disagree with me for they are as vehement in their beliefs, it is the ones who ride the fence or lukewarm as the bible states, makes good spit!

-- Posted by michaelbell on Tue, Aug 25, 2009, at 6:27 PM

Nancy Pelosi onced praised those who spoke out in opposition to the Bush administration as heroes. However she describes those who speak out against the Obama administration as being un-American. She's just a typical liberal suffering from a proven mental disorder (liberalism) that won't allow people to see the forest for the trees.

-- Posted by Tim Lokey on Tue, Aug 25, 2009, at 3:03 PM

As Christians, are we just to say "OH WELL" and let sick uninsured people die?

-I have not heard anyone say they want to let people die, and that reform was not needed. But, why not fix where the problems are instead of giving the whole thing over to an irresponsible govt who cant even deliver mail profitably.

we have a president that is truly concerned about the people of this country....

-In what way has he shown concern? By increasing spending on an already bankrupt system? By passing laws that make it easier to murder unborn children? By stealing from one group of people and giving to another in the form of bailouts and cash for clunkers type garbage? By etc, etc, etc...

Where was the concern and irritation with the previous administration that caused the mess we are now in?

-I seen it every single time I turned on the news, or a late nite talk show. With every talking head or comedian was a constant flow of Bush hate speech. There were hundreds of move on.org, and code pink type groups everywhere in protest. Now I am not saying he didnt deserve it but to say it wasnt there is ignoring the facts.

Due to the tight control Bush and Cheney had on their "town meetings" only those that had nice things to say were allowed. No one was given a voice during the last 8 years and no one was allowed to speak ill of the GOP, instead, one was considered a "traitor" if we disagreed with anything that administration did. This current administration wants input, wants your voices heard, and wants to have an open administration to let people know what they feel is necessary.

-Again, with the double standard. Almost all of Obamas town hall meetings have people that admit to being plants to ask the questions he wants to hear. He doesnt take any hard questions and gives no good answers. If its not on the teleprompter he can hardly speak. Also how about the current administration forcing tv stations to show his speeches or else they wont be allowed at any white house get togethers. How about people being called unamerican because they are trying to speak out.

This current administration wants input, wants your voices heard, and wants to have an open administration to let people know what they feel is necessary.

-Yeah your right they want input, they want input if your neighbor is talking bad about their ideas.

Boys, boys, boys....you two (jaxspike and darrick_04) need to learn there is plenty of room for both of you to play together in the sandbox.

It is a lot easier to build a sand castle together than throw sand in each others eyes. Wouldn't it be?

If I didn't know better I would think you two were two ole senile ladies like us.

4. America is just fine with varying opinions, and none of those opinions need your approval.

-- Posted by darrick_04 on Mon, Aug 24, 2009, at 10:20 PM

Maybe you should practice what you preach. I just stated my opinion and it doesn't need your approval either and I don't expect you to have my approval of whatever idea you have because it is a free country as of right now. Also, my comment about mocking religion was directed at Michael Bell . . . sorry if you couldn't understand the full context of the comment. I disagree about the downfall of America . . . it is polarizing people like you and Michael Bell (you two do have something in common after all) who cause the friction we are seeing in our society today. I consider you an element of the fringe left while Michael Bell is an element of the fringe right . . . that is why people like you and him should be ignored but again that is just my opinion. :-)

That is all I have to say about this frivolous matter.

Liveforlight -

You are so close to perfectly stating several key issues that I feel compelled to commend you for your post.

INSURANCE : You have that addressed at the core of it. You can go get an MRI done for $300.00 at Murfreesboro Imaging Center if you provide your own coverage (money). Or you can go the hospital and get one for $2,800.00 and let your insurance company make you think they are paying for 80% of it leaving you ""only"" a $560.00 balance to pay. Makes more sense to be your own provider and negotiator and pay for your own healthcare and avoid the insurance scheme.

Like you said it is not more insurance we need, it is less expensive health care we need. This is easiest obtained by paying as you go and negotiating your health care yourself with the provider.

THE CHURCH : You also addressed that at its core current problem. The Church is not a building of bricks and sticks. It is supposed to be a live and breathing body of believers with a focus. That focus should be on Christ and His will. His will was never on beautiful buildings for he saw their temporacy. I see a lesson on this in Mark 3: verses 1-2 where the disciples exclaimed...."Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!".

Mark 13

1And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!

2And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

I think true religion is this instead of buildings and elaborate sound systems:

James 1:27 (New Living Translation)

27 Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.

OBAMA : Well, even that you have addressed around a core. All I can add to what you stated is "Time tells all". The last 8 months have said a lot and the future months ahead lay waiting to talk to us. Vast numbers were deceived under the influence of charisma.

Again, I commend your post for revealing truly core issues.

-- Posted by Blessed Assurance on Tue, Aug 25, 2009, at 8:38 AM

There are a lot of people in this country who do not have health insurance. Many of which I know. Most of them choose not to have health insurance. Although they can afford it they have learned that they can get the healthcare they need at a lower cost by paying cash and dealing directly with the provider.

If you have insurance, look at your billing statement from the insurance company. You will see the "discount" applied to the charges for using the insurance.

You see, it is not more "insurance" we need. It is less expensive HEALTHCARE. Insurance, including the government "Obamacare" only drives up costs. It is a scam, a ponzy scheme. Leaving the people of the U. S. holding the bag.

It doesn't matter if they are Dems. or Reps. the outcome is the same.

The church should do more to help people in need. Too much of the money given to churches is used for buildings, salaries, so called mission trips, expensive furnishings, and the like and not used to help the truly needy.

As far as Obama and religion, it seems to me that he, like a lot of other people, tries to use it when it is convenient for his purpose.

Jesus taught to judge the tree by the fruit.

Obama claims to be christian- goes to Turkey and denies christ saying "america is not a christian nation"

Goes to France and says "america is one of the worlds largest Muslim nations".

Look at the laws that have been passed so far, and the ones they are trying to pass under this administration. Who do those laws serve? What is the fruit?

Of course people are outraged! The media is obviously biased towards Obama and the Democrats.

If bush had of appointed 23 Czars like Obama has, the meida would have crucified him.

The people who are shouting are demanding to be heard. These are hard working grass-roots people who have never protested anything before in their life. I am one of them.

For that, Obama and Nepolotano, call me a right wing terrorist while they try to make friends with the enemies of 911?

The truth is revealed by the fruit.

There are 42 million people in this country (some who love and respect God) who don't have health insurance. Many more are losing jobs and possibly health insurance at the same time. Many Americans try to get health insurance only to be turned down due to pre-existing conditions. What are we as Christians and as Americans to do about these people. IT is at catastrophic proportions --People unable to get insurance. Also a large percentage of people that have insurance will find that the premiums will be increasing at such a rate that they will be unable to afford it within the next 5 years. There has to be some form of health reform or the problems will grow to such a magnitude that we will lose more hospitals (Many have already closed due the a high percentage of uninsured using the hospital to get medical assistance and the cost of treating them.) As Christians, are we just to say "OH WELL" and let sick uninsured people die? I am appalled at the lack of heart this country is displaying towards those that have lost their homes, their jobs and their insurance. We have tent cities cropping up all over our nation, we have a president that is truly concerned about the people of this country and all anyone can say is "Obama is ruining this country!" Well, Obama has only been in office for eight months. Where was the concern and irritation with the previous administration that caused the mess we are now in? Where was the constant screaming matches at town halls when the last president was in office? Where were the rifles, Ak47's and such lining the streets outside the building that had our officials trying to talk to people about the problems this country is facing? I'll tell you where? Due to the tight control Bush and Cheney had on their "town meetings" only those that had nice things to say were allowed. No one was given a voice during the last 8 years and no one was allowed to speak ill of the GOP, instead, one was considered a "traitor" if we disagreed with anything that administration did. This current administration wants input, wants your voices heard, and wants to have an open administration to let people know what they feel is necessary. And yet, we have supposedly "Christians" and those that have strong Christian principals, screaming and yelling so that no one can be heard, no one can be allowed to voice their opinions and the "love of Christ" is found in bellowing hate and venom towards a president that seems to be an intelligent, loving family man who is idealistic and wants EVERY American to have a chance. What seems so wrong is that many people feel that only the chosen few should have rights, not all. Hmm, sounds a bit one-sided to me.

I agree life isn't fair because we constantly have to listen to the constant babble that runs amuck in individuals like nathan.evans, darrick_04 and even Michael Bell.......... These are the individuals who should be ignored!

-- Posted by jaxspike on Mon, Aug 24, 2009, at 7:47 AM

1. Nobody makes you listen to anyone... you've never spoken to me :)

2. I have never made a mockery of religion, and am far from destroying our foundation.

3. 2. If the last sentence was true, then you just contradicted yourself.

4. America is just fine with varying opinions, and none of those opinions need your approval.

Preacher man, ( is that what you call yourself Michael Bell, REALLY?????)

It seems like it is always YOUR God, YOUR way, YOUR opinion. BLAH-BLAH-BLAH-BLAH-BLAH !

YOU interpet YOUR Bible the way you want and actually think you're right. What if everyone on these blogs of yours did the same thing? Would they be right and You wrong? It's all interpetation Michael. You are so bent out of shape because Obama is president that you use the Bible to try and bring him down. That is sad, so very sad! Honestly, it's all getting so old.

( and what's with all the commas?)

Ok- Jesus is the God of the old testiment. If you read the New testiment thoroughly you'll discover that. Not to mention that he fulfilled every prophecy in the OLD Testiment concerning the Mesiah.

Posted by raginginferno on Mon, Aug 24, 2009, at 2:10 PM

raginginferno - I think you got that right. It would be nice if everyone did realize and understand what you said.

It is hard to realize the depth of the Love of Christ for the sinner without first comprehending the height of the Wrath of God for the sin.

Interesting...

You are the preacher, raginginferno. I hope everyone can see the truth in your words.

I love you, my pastor!

Ok- Jesus is the God of the old testiment. If you read the New testiment thoroughly you'll discover that. Not to mention that he fulfilled every prophecy in the OLD Testiment concerning the Mesiah. So how well do you know the God you claim to serve? Either the bible is true or it's not. We can't take parts and only believe what fits our life. Jesus himself said He and the Father are ONE. In the wilderness HE told Satan- you shall Not tempt the LORD THY GOD. Declared his own identity from that moment.

2 Chronicles 7:14 we need a good dose of humble pie in the American Church. Pray for our president- if we don't agree with him- we can make a difference by the words we speak. Out of our mouth flows blessing or cursings. There is no in between. If you aren't speaking a blessing, well that's a curse.

All the talk about healthcare has me wondering one thing. Why do we not hear more about the real culprits that are driving healthcare costs through the roof?

The culprits I am talking about are the people out there who use any excuse to sue someone else over anything that they think they can squeeze a dollar out of.

Doctors and healthcare facilities are a huge target for these people.

My wife served as nurse in an OB/GYN office and took care of the bills/books at times. She told me that the mal-practice insurance for this doctor was $120,000/yr. I did the math, based on the number of patients, and that equals approx.$40.00 each just to pay the mal-practice insurance. That doesn't even begin to cover the salaries, supplies, office expenses, etc.

Assuming medical supply companies have a similar scenario on thier supplies, then the cost of mal-practice coverage is eating us alive.

The government doesn't address this issue. There should be penalties, or at least payment of all court costs, of people and lawyers who pursue these court actions and fail to prove their case.

Mr. Obama and congress does nothing in this area. Why? I believe it is because most of our politicians were, or are, lawyers and stand to make billions from ambulance chasing lawsuits.

Some lawsuits are legitimate and deserve certain compensation. Punitive damages in the millions awarded to law firms on behalf of an individual or group end up costing all of us.

Mr. Obama, take aim at these injustices if you want real constructive change to healthcare costs.

At one time we did seem to agree a lot on many issues Nathan but it seems the past year your tone has become increasingly negative . . . it tends to invalidate many of your points and ideas.

We already have enough people on here like that . . .

-- Posted by jaxspike on Mon, Aug 24, 2009, at 1:14 PM

Jax, I am sure if you ever met me you would find that I am level headed and moderate as any other person you would ever meet. Perhaps you don't share my opinion on everything, but I am sure you would find that we are in agreement on more things than not.

-- Posted by nathan.evans on Mon, Aug 24, 2009, at 1:00 PM

michael, if you're do adament about the government staying out of church, why can't you leave the government out of your church?

Isnt that what you want? Aren't you "the preacher man"? So, then... preach about something else besides government. Something like, I dunno, God's love?

-- Posted by picaboo170 on Mon, Aug 24, 2009, at 1:00 PM

I agree Jaxspike and Honda14

Jesus warns us about the wolves in sheeps clothing,

Satan feels just as confortable sitting next to someone in a church pew as he does sitting next to someone on a bar stool. And where better to attack Gods people then in Gods house.

Obama came out early on and said this health care bill didn't have anything in it regarding abortion, and now he comes out and says they removed paying for abortions from the bill. Now Obama is either a liar or the man hasn't even read his own bill and doesn't know whats in it.

The government run postal service that provides mail to everyone in the US is 2.8 billion in debt and needs a major overhaul, and they want us to think they can run a major health care system.

-- Posted by bellbuckletn on Mon, Aug 24, 2009, at 10:38 AM

Why don't we PRAY for our President and our country's leaders to have Godly wisdom and make ethical decisions instead of running them into the ground? Just a though. Prayer is a powerful thing! I finally realized that they are the ones making the decisions for this country and if they continue to screw up then our country is going to get worse. If I pray and believe that that God will come into their lives and guide them in their decision making.....well, its worth a try.

I agree life isn't fair because we constantly have to listen to the constant babble that runs amuck in individuals like nathan.evans, darrick_04 and even Michael Bell.

The world would be a far better place without these individuals making a mockery of religion or common sense reasoning. These people are what is wrong with America and what is leading to its downfall. People who reside on the far left or right of the spectrum have becoming the polarizing element of our nation and are the ones who are destroying our very foundation. These are the individuals who should be ignored!

Why do we need to know your eternal destiny? You should know yours. Are you saying because we don't believe as you do, we are not going to know? I, for, one believe in the loving Jesus, not in the Old Testament God that you do.

-- Posted by Evil Monkey on Mon, Aug 24, 2009, at 5:33 AM

I know my eternal destiny, do you?

If the Church operates in the spiritual authority it's been given, we have nothing to worry about. Jesus said things like "lay hands on the sick" and "greater works than these". Hmmm something to think about. The world should want what we have. If we start raising the dead, that shouldn't be hard.

-- Posted by michaelbell on Sun, Aug 23, 2009, at 8:27 PM

He didn't worry about the Christian vote? Last time I checked the majority of citizens in this country are "Christian" and Obama won by a majority vote, so assuming statistical variances are relative, it only makes sense that millions of Christians voted for him.

The only thing the term Christianity and Conservative have in common is the letter they begin with...

-- Posted by darrick_04 on Sun, Aug 23, 2009, at 8:26 PM

he did not worry about the Christian vote, but he needs us now.

bellbuckletn,

I had almost forgotten about the statement made in the Mayflower Compact. Thanks for quoting it. I think it pretty well says what the intent was.

Proven to who? No matter what his message is, if the church is not allowed in the government then I say, the government shoUld not be preached in the church.

-- Posted by michaelbell on Sun, Aug 23, 2009, at 1:48 PM

Wait a sec, you complain about Federally funded abortions in Obamacare, and now that it is proven it isn't in there. Now Obama has approached the churches to tell them, Now you complain he told you?

Do you all look for reasons to whine? Really. It is quite pitiful.

-- Posted by Evil Monkey on Sun, Aug 23, 2009, at 1:36 PM

Am I the only one scratching my head at the irony? For around 40 years the democrats have been the party of moral relativism. The party of "don't judge me man." The party of "no one can say what morality is for someone else." Now suddenly the democrats are the arbiters of morality? They and only they know that in order to be moral Americans should be forced to pay for the health care of others and be complacent about the idea of having the quality of their own health care reduced?

Wonderfully said Bro. Michael

Separation of Church and State was meant to keep government out of the church not the church out of the government. The men who wrote and signed the Declaration of Independence were GOD fearing men.

The first true governing document created in the New World colony was the Mayflower Compact and it is considered to have set the stage for the Constitution of the United States.

Mayflower Compact 1620

IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN

We, whose names are underwritten, the Loyal Subjects of our dread Sovereign Lord King James, by the Grace of God, of Great Britain, France, and Ireland, King, Defender of the faith ect. Having undertaken, for the Glory of God and advancement of the Christian Faith and Honour of our King and Country, a Voyage to plant the First Colony in the Northern Parts of Virginia, do by these presents solemnly and mutually in the presence of God and one of another, Covenant and Combine ourselves together into a Civil Body Politic, for our better ordering and preservation and furtherance of the ends aforesaid; and by virtue hereof to enact, constitute and frame such just and equal Laws, Ordinances, Acts, Constitutions and Offices, from time to time, as shall be thought most meet and convenient for the general good of the Colony, unto which we promise all due submission and obedience.
