Time Away.

Posted Sunday, September 13, 2009, at 1:19 PM

I will be taking a break from blogging for a while, because my family and I have come to our own Crossroads and have decided to let God and us let go.

We bought our house about 4 years ago and have done all we could to keep it, it is one of the ones that was built by Roger Ritch, enough said on that!

Within about a month we will be moving to the country and go back to renting ,a farm house with all the works.

I look it as a blessing for I will be a tad bit secluded with no neighbors or the usual distractions of city life.

We will still attend Fellowship and we are going to hold small group bible studies and even church cookouts after we get settled in.

The house became a idol that we could not let go and thank you to the ones who pointed that out to me[ you know who are and I will love you forever] God Bless You!

It was putting a strain on my marriage and putting thoughts into my head that I should have never had.

I deprived my kids of quality time in order to pay for this place and I beg God's forgiveness.

As Abraham broke the idols of his family, I guess I am breaking the idol of the American Dream for as it should be God and family come first, not what you can obtain here on this earth.

I will have seclusion, land to walk on, and a study to delve into God' sword as never before, no apologies for past blogs, but when I return, I will rightly divide and will state God's Word with no apologies, as the ones who oppose Obama speaks out and then due to peer pressure they retract and apologise.

If it is God's Word then no apology will be given.

I may do one more before the move, but with packing and moving and all the extras that come with it and then getting the net back it might be a moth or so before I get back into the pulpit known as Crossroads!

Until then Be Blessed and look to Heaven for he is coming soon!

Michael,

I am sorry that you and your family have to go through such a hard thing, I sympathize as I, too, had to go through it. If I were you, I would retain the services of a good lawyer to help you.

As for some of your other content in this blog... Really have no idea why you even posted it.

Who is Roger Ritch??? I live a sheltered life engulfed in sports and sports and kid's sports.

Sorry to hear about it dude. I am not a religious cat at all and just have to say that life is life. Things happen and just have to grow, roll and learn from everything.

Keep your head up, anyday that you can spend w/ the kids and your signif. other is a great day!!!!

I plan on going to the country to get back to God as close as I can, renew my Spirit, my Faith, and my Family.

To delve into the Word as deep as possible and to make a difference, plus the tranquility I hope will allow my book to get started and complete.

This is just confirmation that the enemy is not too bright.

he may have attempted to steal your bliss or make you homeless but all I see that he's done is let you dump a burden, get some peace, privacy and perspective and have time to enjoy your work and your family.

(You may even get to garden some and have critters.

That's not so easy in town.)

You just let brer beelzebub toss y'all into that ole briar patch.

he might intend that a hard landing would blind you like Rapunzel's prince or,at least, give you more than a few thorns in your side.

But God uses the same thorns that set us free to make our crowns.

The roses that come with the briars are an added blessing.

May all the "curses" you endure remove you from traps, provide you with a fortress against your enemies and grant you the rose's gifts: healing, nurturing, beauty and a champion's reward.

I think we all at one point or another lose our focus and what is really important in life and sometimes its takes a hard knock on the head to get our attention and make us realize we are going in the wrong direction or focusing our lives on the wrong priorities.

I hope you find the solace and peace that you are looking for and that your family is able to grow in strength and love. While I may disagree with some of your views, I always hope that every person finds happiness in their life and don't have to deal with heartache or negative situations.

I guess I am breaking the idol of the American Dream -- Posted by michaelbell

Michael, the newest kind of American Dream is to have a happy and healthy family and marriage. You don't exactly have to own a house to have that, a roof over your dinner table and a place to lay your head can be the trick!

I pray God sees you back on your feet quickly, with a new admiration of the everyday little-bitty blessings He bestows on us!

Give the devil a black eye and praise God that you've found a new place to call home so quickly. Might just turn out you'll love this one more than the roof you had in town. God commands victories for his people.

Michael - I rarely agree with you, but I respect you. This blog entry is a fine example of why. God speed and blessings on this new leg of your journey.

Can you tell us what Mr Ritch had to do with you losing your house?

-- Posted by Chef Boy R.D. on Mon, Sep 14, 2009, at 6:39 PM

Michael,

I hope that you find what you and your family are seeking with this change.

When one door closes, another one opens for us. All we need to do is seek it and move forward.

Best to you and your family, as "tenn native" says, on this new leg of your journey.

Micheal sometime the hardest times is in which God shows up the most. Losing a home is a sad thing, it ties in with our 'ego of what we think we should be doing for the American Dream. Renting is fine, dude and I am glad you have the wisdom to see that it was a ball and chain on you to keep the house.

Your family is so important. Time is short. Your girls will be grown and gone before you know it.

Enjoy them, one day at a time Mike... one day.

Mr. Bell -

What is a lifetime compared to an eternity.

What is a home here in comparison to the mansion awaiting you for eternity.

John 14

1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Be of good cheer and blossoming with fruits of the spirit knowing this.

Hey Michael,

I am sorry to hear about this hardship. If I can help you in any way call me. You know I mean it as a fellow minister. I pray that God will bless you and your family. I trust that He has a plan for you and this is the early stages of it. Remember--I'm the one who's suppose to be in the Dominican Republic and I never saw the vision for The Crossing church till it was a reality.

I hit post to soon. Anyhow,

God bless you and enjoy. Your brother in Christ,

Thanks Kelly and I know you mean it, and if you have a extra grand laying around send it my way, lol! I have prayed over this and the Lord has told me that this is his plan for my family.

The city has always been a comfort zone, and full of distractions to keep us from doing what God has called us to do, which he is still revealing to us. Thanks to you also Lisa and the others who sympathize with our situation.

Your situation? A situation you brought on your self and your family Mr Bell. You bought a house you could not afford and blame it on others(Mr Ritch). You did not take the time to study your finacial situation before you took a leap of faith. Now you have lost a house and damaged your credit rating. So if you want to blame someone, start by looking in the mirror.

-- Posted by Chef Boy R.D. on Thu, Sep 17, 2009, at 6:50 PM

Chef Boy RD,

That comment was very uncalled for. While much of the subprime mess was caused by too many people not doing their homework (no excuse for not knowing that 28-30% of monthly gross should go to mortgage, ins, taxes, pmi), it seems that this Ritch mess was a fraud of a different sort.

-- Posted by gottago on Thu, Sep 17, 2009, at 6:59 PM

Since when is the truth uncalled for?

-- Posted by Chef Boy R.D. on Thu, Sep 17, 2009, at 7:01 PM

I do take a lot of the blame, but I have perfect credit with God, can you say that?

-- Posted by michaelbell on Thu, Sep 17, 2009, at 7:06 PM

I have been saved just as much as you have Mr Bell. I am not meaning to belittle your situation. Too many people fell in the trap of too easy credit and not understanding what they were getting into. I am sure the next time you buy a house, you will be much more informed on what you are doing, and who you are doing it with. You were wooed by a serpant just like He was, but you gave into it. Save your money, take your time, don't buy more than you can afford and you will again have a house of your own.

-- Posted by Chef Boy R.D. on Thu, Sep 17, 2009, at 7:25 PM

michaelbell,

If you still have your wife and girls and can manage to keep some friends, you are doing fine. A farm house in the country can be a blessing.

Many, many more people will be losing their homes before the economy gets straightened out. A lot of people lost thousands of dollars in the Market and yet it keeps on going.

Pres. Obama can't help us. He is working for Wall Street, the bilderberg Group, Trilateral Commission and the Council of Foreign Relations. He speaks of helping the people but does just the opposite of what he promised. It isn't Pres. Obama. He is just a puppet controlled by the rich bankers who thrive on foreclosures, extended wars, Wall Street and striping the people of their property (both Land and Money).

My wife and girls and my faith are all that I need and the Christian friends who stick with me are as family, and the true ones are always there.

To clarify something I am not shutting these blogs down , just taking a break to re energize myself, I will be back! I have got a couple of more to do before I take a full 2 week break when I start moving, God Bless You All!

-- Posted by michaelbell on Fri, Sep 18, 2009, at 6:22 AM

Hey Bro. Mike, yes I am sure that starting this blog thing will have it's challenges, but hey, it is all in trying to voice our opinions. By the way, one voicing their opinions gets noticed. hint, hint(Kanye West) He is getting plenty of attention now, huh?! Anyway....I am very sorry you are having to go through your financial mess, but it is just a shame at how you can be qualified for a home on the gross income. They qualify folks, no matter WHO you go through, on thr gross. They need to teach folks and qualify them on the net income. We were trying to get pre-qualified on a home purchase as well and with the gross we could get a lot of house. BUT when me and my wife started looking at the net, it was a whole different situation. The lenders do not take into consideration the electric bill, phone bill, gas, groceries, etc. Oh well, God is a God of second chances!!! PRAISE HIS NAME!!! I will be chatting with ya later my friend. God bless.

It is fascinating how Congress can go to the Federal Reserve and ask for any amount of money for just about anything they want and get it.

They use the people of the United States and their property as collateral and get it even though the United States is Bankrupt and in a "state of emergency".

The Federal Reserve writes a check and the United State Treasury prints the money (Plus Interest) and Congress gets the money that is our own money we print and the Federal Reserve gets the Interest.

We the people get the payments in the form of a new or higher tax.

The Federal Reserve doesn't even have money in a Bank anywhere. The money is just created out of thin air and Billed to the people. How convenient is that?

Congress gets the money they wanted, the Federal Reserve gets the Interest and "We the People" get stuck paying back the Loan by being taxed to death.

Congress raises the taxes for the poor and lowers the tax for the rich so that the Federal Tax is NOT Proportioned to the Census or Enumeration in violation of the US Constitution.

The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States; {but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States};

Article I, Section 2:

Representatives and direct taxes shall be apportioned among the several states

Article I, Section 9:

No capitation, or other direct tax shall be laid, unless in proportion to the census or enumeration herein before directed to be taken.

The 16th Amendment is Constitutional because it is not a Direct Tax but an Indirect Tax "and" MUST be uniform throughout the states.

"The 16th Amendment, as correctly interpreted, is limited to indirect taxes and for that reason is constitutional...The conclusion reached in the Pollock case... recognized the fact that taxation on income was in its nature an excise..."

Brushaber v. Union Pacific RR Co. 240 U.S. 1 at 10,11,12,18,19

Congress has no new powers to Tax the People!

Although the Gov keeps on taxing us without our consent, it is taking money from our budgets so we fall into Foreclosure or Bankruptcy or just keep losing our property.

We have the best Congress money can Buy

Michael;

You and I are probably going to always disagree on a few things, but I wouldn't wish you and your family's current hardships on anyone. Just as you, I have discovered that instead of going to God and complaining of how big my rpoblems are, I too take my problems and show them how big my God is. Everything gets better when I have enough sense to just get out of the way and let God do his handywork in my life.

Good Luck & God Bless

Sometimes when we are in a storm and things look dark and gray, the skies clear and we see the most beautiful of God's creation, the rainbow. we remember that God has promised to care for us.

It is okay to take a step back before moving forward. Nothing in this dimension is perfect so we must work within the imperfections.. My family wishes your family peace, love, and tranquility in the months to come.
