NASA released a report yesterday that it has discovered a star that is speeding through space at an incredible 291,000 miles per hour. The report says that this star, named Mira, has a tail that is 30,000 light years long trailing behind. This is the first time a star has ever been observered moving through space. What an awesome universe we live in, full of so many strange and wonderful questions that will never be answered!

oooh, this is interesting. i've been lucky enough to see two meteor showers so far in life. and lots of shooting stars, one a couple of months ago that seemed to just blaze across the entire night sky. that is really amazing.
