Safari 5 and Reader

On Monday, Apple released version 5 of its Safari web browser. In this version you will find the Reader feature, one of the coolest additions to web browsing in my opinion since the creation of tab browsing. Reader is designed to display web pages that contain lots of text, like a Times-Gazette story or blog, in a way that more closely resembles reading a newspaper or magazine. Safari 5 also has a spell checker, displays a top sites page containing sites you visit most often, and does a good job displaying pages how their creator intended. If you enjoy reading stories and articles found on the internet, I would definitely recommend Safari 5.

Mr Bell, maybe God was sending you a message. I value your right to free speech, but you are not a Christian that I would want to emulate.

Yeah, it couldn't possibly have anything to do with you and your actions.

thanks to a bunch of liberal complaints and somebodies feelings getting hurt because of difference of opinion it was taken off. I will find elsewhere to voice my opinions.

Nice info. What happened to Mr Bell's blog?

Coincidentally enough, my tech column today includes information about a bookmarklet that does something similar in terms of displaying stories readably. It's called Readability:
