Photo Finish

Well, it has finally happened to me. Yesterday the mail brought a letter from the SafeStreets program in M'boro. It showed a series of pictures taken by an automatic traffic camera: an intersection at two separate moments, and a close-up of a license plate. There my Jeep sat, frozen in time, in the middle of the intersection, turning left, with two bright red lights on the signals above me. It took some time, then I remembered that afternoon a couple of weeks ago driving to dinner in the 'Boro. I wasn't in a hurry, but I remember a light that changed VERY quickly from yellow to red before I got thru my turn. I wonder whether the other two cars in the intersection in the photo also got this letter. I will pay the citation (only $50! thought it could be much more), but I am reminded of a story I heard once. A man gets a letter with a citation and photos of his violation. Angry, he sends a photo of his fine payment to the police. A few days later, he gets a letter with a photo of handcuffs. He paid the fine.

A fellow in the northeast tried to trick out automatic cameras like these at toll booths -- but he got caught:

Sorry I got a laugh at your expense but you are the first person I have heard of who got a ticket that way. I am always looking at those little cameras and wondering if they really work, now I know!
Dang, I thought this was gonna be a radiology thread :)
Lol Doc!
No such luck.
Well, Photo finish is the name of a cosmetic by Smashbox I think. I wondered WHY? you'd have a blog about makeup....?
I always wondered if they really worked.
Thanks for telling me.Hope your meal was worth the ticket.
Dr. Monajjem,
I am going to do some serious blog hijacking, but are you familiar with heriditary angioadema. I am trying to find a doctor with some experience with it.

Heard of it, don't know enough to be helpful. I am sure you have done web searching, but www.hereditaryangioedema.com looks very helpful - I learned alot with a brief perusal.
Good luck.
