Cortner Mill

Has anyone tried Cortner Mill lately?

I have a friend visiting town this weekend and made reservations for tonight at Cortner MIll. I thought it would be nice to show her local places instead of going to Murfreesboro. I have never been but, since learning Bill Hall is now there, I am very much looking forward to tonight.

I have been to the Walking Horse Hotel twice now (enjoyed it) and want to try something different.

I'd be interested to hear about your experiences if you've been to Cortner Mill before.

Ahh thanks! I was a bit surprised that Bill Hall from channel 4 would be out at Cortner Mill lol!

Guess I have to get out more. I did not know Bill had moved to Cortner Mill. I think the 'other' Bill Hall had some interesting recipes at times also.

The Bill Hall she's talking about is not the one from Channel 4. He ran a restaurant called Our House in Haley for a number of years, then moved away, then moved back. He was at the Walking Horse Hotel retaurant when it was re-opened a few months back, but now is at Cortner Mill.

Bill Hall is there now? From channel 4?

We're always looking for intereseting places to try out but I am not into the fancy dancy cuisine. Give us a steak and choice of steamed veggies or taters and we're good :)

We will be trying the Walking Horse soon. Is that dressy there too or can we wear what we would normally wear out in M'boro ie jeans and nice shirt?

yea food was to far out for me i got goat cheese chicken something or other and didnt really eat i dont care for the exotic type food!! but it is nice just not for me!!

It's on the formal side so don't wear jeans, nice dress pants would be fine. It was very quiet when we went I'm guessing because we were one of about four couples there. The food was good but not what I was expecting. Beefalo steak, duck, that sort of thing. Remember what glasses are for what and the same with the silverware!

Make sure you check out the glass table in the entrance area, you can see straight down to the stream flowing under it.
