  • I wish I could be there, since I couldn't be at one in Washington. This is such a historic occassion.

  • It was VERY well done.

There was an open,positive,"can-do" spirit everywhere I saw with a welcome absence of hubris and ill-feeling.

It is that atmosphere,as much as the promise of any elected official, that makes me optimistic about our future.

Any time people of goodwill can channel their hope and their talents,we come out ahead.

We've had so many things show up to make us wary and fearful,I was glad to see some real hope in evidence.

This was not about a denial of harsh realities but an affirmation that we have what it takes to make things right.

Maybe, the people at the party needed Barack Obama in office to feel that hope just as folks of earlier times needed George Washington or FDR.

I'd hope that people of all political stripes could greet the new administration as those at the Fly did last night.

It was attractive and well-run with New Year glitz and the wholesome anticipation of a last-day-of-school picnic or family reunion.

The people who did the inaugural party used their talents and resources to hold one of the most welcoming bashes I've had the pleasure of attending.

I hope the same comfortable and competent spirit influences all the community accomplishes in the future.
