Do you shop at thrift stores? If so, which ones? Are you shopping there in lieu of the economy?

There's a small consignment shop near Outer Limits in Murfreesboro that has had a good selection of clothing of all types-especially plus sizes.
I can't recall the name,unfortunately,but if you can find the little mall that has the comic book store,you should be able to find it.
Do any of y'all shop freecycle or craigslist?
I just got some awesome deals for my skinny mother in law at the Goodwill. Beautiful like new clothing.
Of course for me, the chunky bunny i have a harder time..

Well I use to shop in thrift shops but since I have been unemployed since Thanksgiving I can not splurge and do that any more...It's all that you can do to get bills payed and there is nothing left after that. But God will provide a way that we can not understand.

The Good Samaritan thrift store here in town is good. I donated almost all of my mom and brothers things to them. Alot of items were brand new. They price things much lower. But, they are only open on Mon. Wed. and Fri.
Yes, the Shelbyville Goodwill is overpriced and is not customer-friendly. I do not shop there anymore. I shop at the Goodwill in Spring Hill and Franklin. The Goodwill in Shelbyville price-gouges for Half-Off Day. As for grocery stores-I shop UGO and SAL.

I like to take the yard sale ads in the summer and make Saturday morning trips. I really hate Friday yard sales.
Yes! The Shelbyville Goodwill is ridiculously priced. I never go anymore. (They once had a set of broken plastic shelves for $15 that are new at Wal-mart for $14) The one in Tullahoma and the one in Fayetteville are good. I've been to the one in Lewisburg once and it was good.
I used to go eBay, but I got burned a few times and haven't really been back.
The Shelbyville good will has gotten a lot more expensive on their items. You have to catch them on a sale day or 50% off everything day. Some of that stuff isn't worth what they are asking. Sring Hill has a very nice and clean Goodwill as well.
The Goodwill in Shelbyville is always high priced. Ive been looking for boxers for my son for the last several weeks because they are pretty expensive at Walmart ect. Goodwill in Shelbyville had a $3.99 price tag on used boxers in Shelbyville...I bought 5 pair at Goodwill in Tullahoma ranging in prices from 50 cents to $1.29 this week...name brand Joe Boxers. Shelbyvilles store is just way too high unless it sits around long enough to go on the half price sale 5 weeks later.

Does anyone know the name/s of any plus-size ladies consignment stores ANYWHERE in the mid-TN area?
Ebay is good if you are a late nighter it is even better. You can go to ending soon auctions and get some pretty good deals without much trouble.
When my kids were little we always liked Hey Diddle Diddle.
I love Goodwill in Franklin Tennessee, and Shelbyville. The one in Fayetteville is pretty good too.
Nashville has several real good thrift stores just google them.
I like Phase II also in the boro, but i get things cheaper at Goodwill and Ebay.
i love goodwill and have shopped for a long time. i found my son some carhart overalls with the tags! i dont really know to many other ones?
Phase II is a pretty good place it also has a lot of name brands and some new clothing that still have th store tags.
I'm a big fan of Plato's closet. Its cheap and all name brand clothing.
I've been shopping at thrift stores forever. I haven't found many good ones in this area, but my husband and I have been known to drive for hours out of our way when we've heard that a town has good thrifting.
