Is this mic off?Posted Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at 12:37 PM
Many of you may have heard the latest news story about President Obama meeting with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev discussing missile defense and at one point during the meeting Obama asked if the mics were off and after he was told that they were ,he told President Medvedev "This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility," If you have not seen or read about this you can here http://www.nydailynews.com/news/election...
I would like to know your thoughts on this story, especially if you are an Obama supporter. Does it raise any concerns with you? Obama has come out since and said that "there is no hidden agenda" but what else could he say? Why would he be concerned about the microphones being off? I know there are things spoken between any meetings of Presidents that neither wants to be recorded but if there is no hidden agenda as Obama has stated then why want the microphones off in the first place?
On the other side however, the Republicans wasted no time to use this "mishap" against him by running this ad http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwuEnHQVC...
Regardless of which side you are on I feel this makes our President look weak and not willing to take a stand on an important issue without putting his political career in front of what is best for the American people.
