Birds in a frenzyPosted Thursday, September 20, 2007, at 1:36 PM
For those of us who feed the birds, do they seem in a frenzy lately?
We have six seed feeders, three hummingbird feeders and spread seed on the ground for the ground feeders and it is a hectic flight plan out there, to say the least. Is everyone seeing that this year? We spread food for the squirrels too, to try to save our feeders for the birds but we are having a hard time keeping up. If there is such a thing as investing in seed futures, now might be the time. I heard mention that because of the drought, there will be much less food available for the wildlife this Fall and Winter. They were asking people to put out feeders not just for the birds but for squirrels, deer, and other seed and nut eaters.
