New at eBayPosted Friday, October 12, 2007, at 7:07 PM
Something new we will be introducing to our class today is the new eBay desktop interface. It is a "beta" program, meaning that it is still in testing, so it may have some glitches. eBay will want to hear about any of these, since they are trying to fine-tune it.
Why would you be interested? This brand new interface will allow you to browse, bid, and watch items right from your desktop, without having to go into eBay. It has search feeds, reminders and give you outbid and other alerts, rather than wait for instant messaging or e-mail, According to the "Digital Goddess" Kim Komando "The best feature of the program is its caching. When you perform a search, the results are cached. You can refine your search without waiting for the information to refresh." If you want to give it a try go to http://desktop.ebay.com/ |
