A blessing from blogging

Posted Saturday, November 10, 2007, at 7:27 PM

Because of my activity on the T-G blog a very dear business associate and friend was able find me and get in touch. We worked together almost 30 years ago at the local Pizza Hut.

Even though we both live in the same county, we may never have seen or heard from each other again and that would have been a shame. I hope that we can locate the other remaining friends from that time and have a reunion sometime in the near future.

Thanks T-G.

If only the experience were so positive for us all...

I stayed away from some of the stuff that was going on, but maybe a local blog is different from the national or larger community blogs.

During my CB (Citizens Band) radio days, I could tell a big difference in the tone of conversations when I was in a city or sometimes in a different part of the country.

Even some of my friends from the Northeast change when they are in their own environment. It is amazing to see a friendly, chatty person turn into a grizzly, ex-con when someone tries to cut in front of them in the grocery line.

Anonymity or just the remoteness of a telephone can do the same thing. As a salesman, I would have customers who would chew me royally on the phone, but in person, it was all amicably worked out.

Human nature is interesting to study.
