Note: The nature of the Internet makes it impractical for our staff to review every comment. Please note that those who post comments on this website may do so using a screen name, which may or may not reflect a website user's actual name. Readers should be careful not to assign comments to real people who may have names similar to screen names. Refrain from obscenity in your comments, and to keep discussions civil, don't say anything in a way your grandmother would be ashamed to read.
  • Steve, I've got a "candidate" for you. I tried to e-mail you but it a screen pops up for a logginet.passport.com something. I don't know what that means.

How else can I reach you?

  • I tried clicking on it and got the e-mail so I don't know what that message was trying to say. Try steve@bedfordtradingpost.com

    Thanks.

  • This is a great idea!

Not only would this help us take advantage of another "vanishing resource" and let our elders know that they and their wisdom are treasured, but it could bring back some victory gardens, save some heirloom species,re-introduce some healthy and tasty recipes, preserve some almost forgotten crafts and help new generations appreciate the gifts of nature that surround us.

All we'll have for the future is what we take care of today.

What we have left of the past and what we are creating today are going to be somebody's legacy.

Let's make sure that we value what's available to us now enough that we have something positive to pass on.

  • I received some private feedback and will try to visit some of the folks this weekend. With their approval, I may post their picture and some of their wisdom in posts here.

Since these blogs slowly make their way to the bottom, I may also start a new one from time to time so keep an eye out.
