Somehow, I was the only one in our household to watch the ball drop, even though I was the one wanting to go to bed early. I've got to work on that for next year.

This is our first without our daughter being in the house. She was having her OWN party at her OWN apartment. Nothing too emotional, we just miss her cheery presence.

I resisted being Dad and cal;ling her at New Year's moment and she is surely not a morning person, so it will have to wait.
