Ramblings - True RamblingsPosted Saturday, March 8, 2008, at 8:24 AM
Scenes from my desk this morning.
My ramblings started early this morning and have not stopped, so I decided to share them with the world. Maybe that would cool them off a bit.
When I saw the snow I started thinking of things I could do inside. Plant tomatoes and peppers, finish the bathroom floor, list eBay items, work on website, bla, bla, bla. But in my mind was running a song as well and I could not get it to stop.
I hope I am not crazy but do some of you wake up with a different song each day and it stays with you way into the morning? At least they are different.
Then I was loading up the fire with wood (yes, we do have regular gas heat, we just like the wood) and as I was putting some paper in to rekindle the blaze I ran across some magazine I threw in to the pile during one of my "clean up" binges and I started thinking about all the good articles I was burning up.
It is that kind of thinking that has me storing boxes and boxes AND boxes of Organic Gardening, Mother Earth News and other growing or homesteading mags. Yeesh!
SO then I started thinking I should revive the gardening/small farm newsletter I used to write for the TLSA (Tennessee Land Stewardship Association) and put it in the blog, BUT I realized that I can think MUCH faster and hopefully more accurately than I can type.
SO I got to thinking about how great it would be if we could communicate with our computer and let IT do the typing. Of course, mine would have to be wireless, since most of my great ideas come to me while I am doing something else like showering, or putting wood on the fire, or planting. or.....
I know we are close to that, maybe even have it, but I can not afford it so it as good as not being there.
Well enough of my ramblings. Now I need to do something that I have been thinking about. Later.
