Youth Center initiative needing your support and participationPosted Monday, March 31, 2008, at 6:43 AM
A few months ago we had a lively discussion regarding the development of youth oriented activities in Bedford County.
There has beena group working quietly behind the scenes to do just that and they are ready to have an informational meeting with the public. Here is their announcement.
YOU ARE INVITED!
There will be an informational meeting for adults and teenagers concerning a teen center in Bedford County at the H. V. Griffin Park & Recreation Building on Sunday afternoon, April 20, 2008, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. For more information, contact Kathy Gregory at 437-2296.
I met with the organizers and know that they are sincere and committed to providing a safe, fun environment. If you were in on the discussion or know people who want to help, PLEASE ask them to set this date aside and go see what is being planned.
I know they will be watching this post, so if you have comments or thoughts, feel free (as I know you will) to share them.
