Question for Bell Buckle Water Department
Posted Thursday, April 3, 2008, at 4:20 PM<< Previous | Read comments | Respond | Email link | Next >>
When will those served by Bell Buckle know if water actually got into our system from Wartrace and should we continue to boil our water?
There is plenty of notice in the paper about Wartrace. To date, the only thing we have seen from Bell Buckle is a notice on the Post Office window.
I know I could call the Town Hall but this is probably an answer that many would like to know, so I thought I would ask here. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |

We got this from Bell Buckle about an hour ago:
"Bell Buckle is in the process of flushing the lines and doing more water samples so we can be assured of water quality. We will keep you apprised of the results of these tests and when the "Boil Water Alert" can be lifted. Thank you!"
Great to know. Thanks.
Steve;
I think Bell Buckle is downstream from the herd. (Joke)
Anybody know what the source of the problem is?
Sounds Bacterial. How?
What I glean from the news releases is that this is just precautionary because they know that the ground water had infiltrated the system and they can not treat it properly.
I do not think any particular bacteria, sewage or other contaminants have been documented as being in the water.
