  • My best times for meetings are during the week, early evenings. I like to go to meetings right after work and not get home so late that I need to go right to bed.

I usually forego anything that meets on the weekends on a regular basis.

I have to reserve Mondays for faculty meetings. That seems to be the status quo for all schools.

  • If there was a class that you were attending, would it be better to have two 2.5 hour sessions on a Tues-Thurs., or one 5 hour session?

Would 6 or 6:30 be a better starting time?

  • I'd rather have one 5 hour class with a break.

I'm guessing the 6 is PM and a shorter meeting? Personally, 6 is better to get home sooner.

  • Thanks for your thoughts.

  • I'd like to see if we could have more than one time for a scheduled class.

That way,the Monday faculty meetings,Tuesday council meetings,Wednesday church attendance,Thursday soccer practice and weekend renewal won't get in the way of a little combined fellowship and education.

People could pick the times that work for them.

Of course, whether or not one gets out of doing dinner and dishes or has time to spend with one's loved ones affects participation, too.

  • QC if that is your schedule, I am not sure there is enough time in the week to fit something else in.

I would not be in a position to have a wide open schedule for classes, but I am not sure what type of structure you mean. Right now I try to have one class a month but plan on adding an advanced class, which would make two a month.

Since I have a other scheduled commitments, my times for classes is usually nights, weekends or occasionally Friday days.

How does that translate into a tight schedule such yours?

  • My schedule is nothing like that, thank goodness!

(I was just listing possible obligations others might have.)

I hope that as these classes get off the ground there could be several going on at once with different levels, different teachers, etc.

For now,the first classes could be Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8:30 then see if the next classes have more takers for another time.

I'd think folks could accommodate almost anything once a month.

  • I might try he split class next time and see how it goes. The only limitation is the people from out of town.

Last week we had two come from Knoxville. I was surprised when two came from Hendersonville, but Knoxville?

I may just have to take this on the road. I've been doing Manchester and Columbia, but Chattanooga and Knoxville could be worked in too.
