eBay Chatter - Where's the eBay?Posted Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at 7:51 AM
While Deb and I live eBay every day, I have been remiss in discussing it here lately. Why? Hmmmm, I have this deep psychological issue being explored through therapy, but actually, I have just been busy. The garden club, teaching eBay and selling eBay, my own garden, and living the dual life of an international sales manager, just got in the way.
There has been a lot of news out there over the past month about the changes being made, the new fees, seller boycotts, change of management, a new corporate blog from eBay to stay in touch with the "masses", eBay live coming up in June (Chicago McCormick Place), Australian PayPal requirements, the arrest of a well known eBay hacker from Romania and the possible sale of Skype. Maybe all the news just overwhelmed me.
Now the UK is developing a sellers boycott that they are billing as GLOBAL. Not sure how the island became global, but it never hurts to think big. Will we participate? Nah, we have too many things to get out of the house and eBay is still the best venue to do that with, unless you consider the dump.
Anyway, I will make a concerted effort to be more active with my eBay blogging and hopefully come up with some 'pearls of wisdom' along the way.
