Garden Gleanings - TWO garden clubsPosted Monday, May 5, 2008, at 1:04 PM
This coming Sunday, May 11th, will be the beginning of a second garden club for those who can not make the Friday evening group.
Our first group meets at 6:30, so we might as well keep the time the same, BUT the place is different. Since I have a class going at the Chamber of Commerce, I will keep the room a little longer and invite the "Sunday Garden Club" to meet there. For those meeting at the Hong Kong restaurant on Friday, we are still on, so count on getting together. The restaurant has been nice enough to host our meeting, so I agreed to mention that they are doing something special for Mother's Day, so we might want to stop by on Sunday as well. Steve Mills and his wife have one daughter and live on a farm outside of Bell Buckle. They previously owned two coffee/ice cream shops, currently operate an internet sales company and teach classes, but his primary job involves the paper industry worldwide. Hobbies and interests lie in gardening, photography, recorded music and of course, their pets.

Has anyone in your group talked about Polksalad. It grows wild and I had my first last week since I was a child. It wasn't bad at all. If anyone would like to try some, give me a call.
They usually last 1.5 to 2 hours. It depends on how many people show up and what they want to talk about. There is nothing set, no officers, rules, etc. Just gardening talk.
I look forward to Sunday. About how long do the meetings last?
