E-Commerce, Internet, group - First meeting in the bag

The first meeting of this new group ended about 30 minutes ago and all agreed it was a benefit to all. Conversations ranged from setting up web sites, blogs, forums, eBay, ProStores, marketing, to brainstorming for products to sell.

Some of us had websites, some were setting up new sites, and some were brand new at using the internet to sell. A GREAT mix of interests and experience.

The common opinion was that meeting in one month was too far away, so right now we are tentatively set for Sunday night, June 29 starting around 6:30 at the Chamber of Commerce in Shelbyville. Remember, it is open to all!!

Sorry I missed it. Thought maybe it would be cancelled due to father's day. Will try to make next one though.

Yes, I think it was great to hear from alot of different interests sharing ideas and Carol added alot of interesting ideas to marketing that I hadn't thought about. I had a great time.

EM - nice, I like that you're building a website for the group. I think that's really good for people who might be too shy to show up in person.

EM this looks GREAT! I was your first registree!

I am not sure what you mean by categories. I could see where experienced html folks could quickly lose some new folks, so would that be a category?

Those of us who use auction and sales sites like eBay might be another one?

Or would these be sub-categories or topics for the forum discussions?

Sorry I missed the meeting, I'll try to make the June 29 one. Our schedule is jammed from June through September.
