Garden Gleanings - Gardening club needs a name!!!Posted Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at 8:23 AM
The more we promote the gardening club, we get asked for the name of our group. If we can solve that today, we will get the new name in the paper this week.
I am not real creative that way but I will throw some out and let the more talented finish it. Bedford Gardeners County Gardening Club Community Gardening Club Mid-Tenn Gardeners (thinking big) Our Favorite Gardening Club (OFGC) Gardening Together The BC Garden Club (BC for Bedford County)(same for MT above) The Green Thumb Gardeners Seasons Gardening Group The Garden People The Gardeneers submitted by candasons07 Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
Steve Mills and his wife have one daughter and live on a farm outside of Bell Buckle. They previously owned two coffee/ice cream shops, currently operate an internet sales company and teach classes, but his primary job involves the paper industry worldwide. Hobbies and interests lie in gardening, photography, recorded music and of course, their pets.

Reality shows, thumbs up or down?
Are we done with this roller coaster temps? Garden tidbits.
Request to explore Bell Buckle's past.
Do you remember the duo of Pat & Victoria Garvey? aka Mr. & Mrs. Garvey?

I'm not in the Garden club, but how about The Gardeneers? Just a thought!!
We will take creativity from anywhere so, thanks. I will add it to the list above so all can be seen and considered at one time.
If you are reading this, why not be a member? No fees, no responsibilities and we don't shoot people who can not make it ti every meeting.
I like those.
I thought of "The Down-to-Earth Garden Club ",
"Weed 'em and Reap" and "Bloom Where You're Planted".
Those might be better for committees or specific projects instead of the whole club.
I still like 'The Green Hat Society'!!!!
LOL!
Would the club then be divided into Early and Late Bloomers? ;)
Great ideas.
Would we have to get green hats? What color for the early bloomers?
Spring green?
Darker green for the older bunch.
The hats would keep the sun off.
:)
I know nothing about gardening. Although, I have been telling my husband that I want to start one in the back yard. I never have time to do anything other than work. I have a 4 year old that keeps me pretty occupied otherwise!! Thanks for the invite though!!
I think Quantumcat has a very unique and amusing name-Weed 'Em and Reap! That's neat!!
I see you all as "Green Thumbs", Garden Club type names sound so formal (you know, Ladies is frou-frou hats and tea cups.)
I am one of the disadvantaged. I have a "brown thumb", even the leaves on my silk plants fall off.
Good luck on finding the right name for your group.
OK lets narrow it down.
The Green Hat Society
The Green Thumbs
Weed 'Em and Reap
Down to Earth
The Gardeneers
espoontoon if you are you going to be at the meeting Friday, could you bring this topic up?
As I mentioned last week, I will have to miss this one.

Well I thought "Gardening with Friends in Bedford County Club"..... Just a thought.....................^!^...Sorry I am late...Had our closing yesterday and I am surrounded in boxes and STRESS....
What if we shortened that to Gardening Friends?
