eBay Live help now seems to be actually working!Posted Thursday, August 14, 2008, at 1:11 PM
In past classes I used to cringe a bit when I talked about the Live Help program with eBay. I often joked that it was not so "live", but recent use of the system has shown a BIG change.
I honestly stopped using it because by the time a person came on the other end, I forgot why I was there. I often never waited past five minutes of hold. Got better things to do. But the last two times I used it, they surprised me with their speed of response. One was on a Saturday and I joked that business must be slow, but today I came in at prime time and they actually got back to me before I had all MY ducks in a row. I thought I would just start the conversation and then get all my facts together, but WOW, Marie was there and asking what she could help me with. AND she helped me with my question without having to type it several different ways to get my point across. Great!! Steve Mills and his wife have one daughter and live on a farm outside of Bell Buckle. They previously owned two coffee/ice cream shops, currently operate an internet sales company and teach classes, but his primary job involves the paper industry worldwide. Hobbies and interests lie in gardening, photography, recorded music and of course, their pets.

I used the ebay live help a few days ago to clear up some question about a product I had listed.
Who knew real people worked for these places!
It certainly seemed all automated at times. I hope this is a permanent change with their customer service.
They have been catching a lot of flack lately for their efforts to stop fraudulent sales etc. It is nice to see some other things happening as well.
