Be Sure You Read what the petition says.

I just received a phone call informing me of a petition circulating that says the undersigned APPROVE of a measure being considered by Bedford County. Some folks' first impression was that it was a petition AGAINST the item being considered and were going to sign it.

While many petitions are AGAINST a particular cause, it is not that unusual to have them FOR one, so we need to make sure we know what side we are taking. Just as with voting, please sign carefully.
