Weed'em and Reap on for tomorrow at 50's Fiddles..

Posted Thursday, November 13, 2008, at 7:29 PM

Tomorrow is Weed'em and Reap day at 50's & Fiddles. Gardening has always been a great for exercise, relaxing, meditative therapy and healthy food but this economy has brought back the economics of it as well. Maybe you should consider joining with our bunch of fanatics and enjoy the benefits next season.

From studies done in the past, most down-turns in the economy resulted in an up-turn in gardening activity. That does not mean to open a landscaping business right now, but I would bet vegetable seeds will sell out much faster this season, so you might order ahead of your normal schedule or buy when they hit the retail stores.

As I was harvesting some Bok Choy a few minutes ago, I ran across some volunteer cilantro/coriander. I could not pass up the opportunity to pot some up for the winter. Then some catnip caught my eye and I remembered promising someone at the garden club that I would bring some, so….. some more potting up.

Hope to see you at the meeting! I missed the last two for health reasons, but I am resting up for this one. Plus, I will bring my laptop for on-the-spot internet research. That always seems to turn up the interest.
