What? A Google search creates CO2 emissions?Posted Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at 9:02 AM
This is an interesting "behind the scenes" study about how using the internet is not as "green" as one might think.
http://www.printweek.com/PrintWeekDaily/... In this study it was determined that 2 internet searches on Google created the same amount of CO2 "as boiling a pot of water". Yikes! I boil a lot of water each day! Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
Steve Mills and his wife have one daughter and live on a farm outside of Bell Buckle. They previously owned two coffee/ice cream shops, currently operate an internet sales company and teach classes, but his primary job involves the paper industry worldwide. Hobbies and interests lie in gardening, photography, recorded music and of course, their pets.

Does this mean I should move my plants, computer and hot pot to the same area to take advantage of the greenhouse gases?
I know that print media makes better mulch, paper mache',fish wrap, hats, boats, kites, floor protection and housebreaking tool but now the net can make our plants grow and alleviate hyperventilation?
Who knew?
Maybe, the plants would grow even better if we did Google searches AND let them Voip and have access to YouTube.
(Music and taking to plants encourages theeir growth, right?)
Methinks this merits further study.
I sure hope talking to them helps, they get plenty of it from me.
You've helped us Weed 'Em and Reapers grow by talking to us,so why wouldn't your chlorophyll-breathing buddies not benefit,as well?
