Wonder why the County and City recycling program is in flux?

Posted Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at 9:14 AM

Here is a good look at the turmoil going on in the recycling industry and why the outlets have disappeared. http://www.packagingdigest.com/article/C...

We are using most of our recycled paper and cardboard in our garden or in our wood stove.

Plastic is just as bad, if not worse. Regrettably when the price of oil goes down, so does the value of recycled plastic. How can you win?

My students and I run a recycling program at my school. It takes all paper and all plastic. I haven't heard anything from them about the future of their business, so I hope that no news is good news.
