Weed'em & Reap Garden Club THIS COMING SATURDAY!

Yup, you read it right. The day of the week has been changed to Saturday at 6:30 PM. Once again we will be

at Hong Kong Restaurant on Madison Street in Shelbyville.

We discussed spreading it around to other restaurants but nothing ever seems to get in place by the time we need to commit, so "same time, same station" You young folks might not have heard that saying, but....hope to see you.

Sitting here watching snow fall and my toes chilled, gardening is not the natural thing to think about, but won't it be GREAT? Warm Spring days.

You may not have any idea, but I'm not sure where else to look-

I'm interested in locating a local grower's co-op. Is there anything like that going on in the area? I'm mainly interested in fresh produce and herbs.

Honestly, the local farmer's market is pretty inconvenient for me, most of the time. The hours are just too limited.

I know of several local CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farms, one in Deason and one East of Franklin, but what you asking is a little different. Let me look a little.

I also know of a natural food buying co-op in Liberty, TN http://www.morningsidefarm.com/, but again, that is a little different. They may have added fresh veggies since they used to grow blueberries. I have not talked to Jim and Barbara for quite some time, so if you contact them, tell them I said Hi. Jim used to be President of the TN Land Stewardship Association.

I hope to make it...washer issues at my house. I may have to pack two weeks of dirty clothes and go to my mom's house in New Market to do my laundry.
