Next Weed'em & Reap garden meeting this coming Saturday (7th)Posted Monday, February 2, 2009, at 9:13 AM
We will be meeting at the our regular spot, the Hong Kong Restaurant on Madison Street in Shelbyville at 6:30 pm. Nothing formal about us, so show up when you can.
If you wonder why I keep repeating this, it is because we have new people attending each meeting and we want to be found. Also, some may not be from this immediate vicinity, so they need to know what town. Seed startin' time is upon us folk, if you are going to set them out slightly before or at the average last frost. Of course, for us, that means you better have cold tolerant plants, expect to cover them and they better mature before summer heat cooks them. Sounds clear doesn't it. We also want to continue our plans for a community garden. If you would like to see one in your neighborhood, or know of a deserving site, PLEASE COME! |
Steve Mills and his wife have one daughter and live on a farm outside of Bell Buckle. They previously owned two coffee/ice cream shops, currently operate an internet sales company and teach classes, but his primary job involves the paper industry worldwide. Hobbies and interests lie in gardening, photography, recorded music and of course, their pets.
