Interested in selling vintage or antique clothing on eBay?Posted Thursday, March 5, 2009, at 8:11 PM
A while back we had a large donation of clothing from an estate. We kept it on racks for about 6 months while we watched eBay go through it's painful process of trying to get it's designer label issues resolved. (Verified Rights Owner (VeRO) Program ) http://pages.ebay.com/help/tp/programs-v...
Well, it is still about as clear as the Duck River during flood stage, so we bundled everything up and gave it to Goodwill, but there are ways to work with it, if you have a real desire or opportunity.
In fact, now is as good a time as any to clean out the closets. People who want to sell ipods are having a tough time competing against the "big box" eBayers but unique, antique, lightly used, collectibles and vintage sales seem to be coming back.
Better yet, eBay seems to be hearing some of our biggest complaints about their changes last year and adjustments for the better should be coming soon. Like revamping the DSR program. I am sure the exodus of sellers had some impact, but the economy and competition probably had more influence, regrettably.
If you are interested in vintage clothing, buying or selling, here is an interesting blog on Worthpoint. While you are there, you might want to see what else you can learn from the site. http://www.worthpoint.com/blog-entry/vin...
