Garden GLeanings: Weed'em & Reap Tomorrow EveningPosted Friday, April 3, 2009, at 5:46 PM
Watercress in early spring.
We will be in the back room of the Hong Kong Restaurant on Madison Street in Shelbyville. No dues, no officers, just plain talk about gardening. The fig trees are putting out leaves. I could not get them to change their minds so I guess I will have to cover them on Monday. Remember, if you want some watercress, let me know before tomorrow, so I can set some aside. We have had big bowls of watercress soup for the last few days. I am also happy to bring more cactus leaves if anyone needs more. |
Steve Mills and his wife have one daughter and live on a farm outside of Bell Buckle. They previously owned two coffee/ice cream shops, currently operate an internet sales company and teach classes, but his primary job involves the paper industry worldwide. Hobbies and interests lie in gardening, photography, recorded music and of course, their pets.
