Remember! Weed'em & Reap this coming Saturday at the Hong Kong Restaurant!Posted Thursday, April 16, 2009, at 1:06 PM
If we are eating, we come in around 6:30 and the meeting starts around 7:00. We are FAR from formal so if you have to come a little late, nor problem mates.
I am getting some good exercise lugging my plants in and out these past few weeks. I have a tomato that I overwintered and it is setting flowers, but if I leave it out the cold will prevent fruit from setting and if I leave it in, there won't be any insects to pollinate it.
Yep, I could hand pollinate, but I have a tough enough time remembering to plant see, so hand pollinating???
The nasty stuff I bought to try to keep the algae from covering my ponds is not doing FLIP!. It has all kinds of warnings on it so I don't want to over-do it. We kind of like our goldfish swimming, not floating belly up.
Right now, I stay ahead of it by scooping it off with a tiny net for scooping fish out of tanks and letting some cloth soak it up. At least I have green insulated underwear. No, I do not plan to wear it anymore.
See you Saturday????
