Garden Gleanings Water, then bail out. What fun!Posted Saturday, May 2, 2009, at 3:39 PM
On Monday I was concerned about watering my seeds to keep them moist for germinating. Now I have to bail the water out of the garden so they do not wash away.
I planned for water to drain into pathways that are full of absorbent paper dust so the moisture is fed slowly to my beds. However this morning I awoke to a stream running through it so I had to devise a way to siphon it off.
I ended up using hoses that I used earlier the week to water. Now they are draining the walkways from the bottom and at the top. Nature always seems to challenge us, but that is part of the fun, I guess.
I hope gardens is all our neighbors have to worry about.
