New Hibachi & Fine dining in MurfreesboroPosted Monday, June 1, 2009, at 7:42 PM
We happened to be in Murfreesboro today and always ready to try out new oriental restaurants. One we have been watching for a while opened yesterday on Thompson Lane in the 400 block.
I mention it because we stopped to try it out and found it refreshingly unique, great food and super friendly management. My wife can attest to the fact that I like to 'chit-chat' and since they have not advertised yet, the manager had time to talk. We like to promote all things Bedford, but if you want a delightful change of pace, this might be the place to try. Oh yes, the name was Samurai Cuisine. The hibachi chefs were not performing at the early hour we went by, so we can not comment on their performance, but from talking to the manager, I would expect the best. I could go on, but this is not a restaurant blog, so..... Comments Showing most recent comments first [Show in chronological order instead] |
Steve Mills and his wife have one daughter and live on a farm outside of Bell Buckle. They previously owned two coffee/ice cream shops, currently operate an internet sales company and teach classes, but his primary job involves the paper industry worldwide. Hobbies and interests lie in gardening, photography, recorded music and of course, their pets.

Do you remember the duo of Pat & Victoria Garvey? aka Mr. & Mrs. Garvey?

I have eaten at Samurai Cuisine twice in the last couple of weeks. The food is wonderful. The sushi is extremely fresh and delicious. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and efficient. As to the Hibachi chefs, I was very fortunate and had Eddy both times and he is amazing as I am sure all of the others are also. For the amount and quality of food and the atmosphere, the price was reasonable.
My girlfriend and I ate at the Samurai tonight, and we agree it was outstanding. The Hibachi chefs were there and they put on a great show and made excellent food. I would rate the Samurai on the same level with the Kobe steakhouse in Nashville.
I agree! The last time we ate there they brought this beautiful sushi plate and I could not help asking who had WHO ORDERED THAT! Turns out it was a freebie and tasted even better!
The manager there used to run the Chinese buffet over on Murfreesboro Rd. I hate to that since they sold that and moved, we did too.
Sushi is our benchmark and they used to have great stuff. Even our daughter, who grew up on sushi while still in the womb, approved of it. But alas...... things change.
I agree, Cathay gets a high vote as well. I love their bathrooms too. Oops, I better stop with that.
My husband and I tried out the Cathay hibatchi place on 231 in Murfreesboro - it was really good.
