Garden club, plant swap, and all around good time.

Here is a description I found on a seed site: "The origin of this old American heirloom tomato variety traces back to the hills of West Virginia in the 1880's and features orange-yellow tomato fruit streaked with red. When cut, Hillbilly tomatoes reveal a starburst pattern in it's meaty flesh. Each Hillbilly Tomato reaches to a weight of upward of 1 1/2 pounds and is very sweet to the taste. We are still looking for a wildflower that Sandy gave to us two meetings ago. She found a low-growing plant with a yellow flower that lasts only a day or two and finishes with a seed pod. The leaves and growing habit look like a dandelion. A dandelion and false-dandelion have been ruled out and we thought a California poppy, but her picture does not look like a poppy, so......

The conversations bounced across the spectrum of subjects, not always gardening but we are now a group of neighbors and sidetracking is not a violation of any rules, since we don't have any. Henry Martyn Robert would have a fit if he attended our meeting (Robert's Rules of Order)

We eventually broke up with a plant swap of our own. Mike had his pick-up, Kaye brought some tomatoes and I brought a few more plants as well. All combined, I would guess we had 12-15 different varieties and multiples of them. If someone wanted a plant, they all had the opportunity to leave with some.
