Steve Mills and his wife have one daughter and live on a farm outside of Bell Buckle. They previously owned two coffee/ice cream shops, currently operate an internet sales company and teach classes, but his primary job involves the paper industry worldwide. Hobbies and interests lie in gardening, photography, recorded music and of course, their pets.
Hot topics My peas are looking great, numerous flowers, but no peas!(4 ~ 11:13 AM, May 19)
Reality shows, thumbs up or down?
Are we done with this roller coaster temps? Garden tidbits.
Request to explore Bell Buckle's past.
Do you remember the duo of Pat & Victoria Garvey? aka Mr. & Mrs. Garvey?

GREAT meeting last night folks! There were conversations going all over the place and while that might drive some folks crazy, we all seem to thrive on it.
Just listen a second and if you want to jump in, BAM, your are in. If not, move to the next one.
We do actually cover things together, but if one is talking flowers and the others are into veggies, or cooking or wine...? (for cooking of course)
The topics covered are too many to list. It might actually be easier to list what we did not touch on. Barbara has her ugly chicken it the heat of competition at the fair, plants were distributed by Mike, we had a personal description of Jere's garden as we viewed her garden pictures, water gardens, butterflies, birds, fish, HOT peppers, pickles, bitter melon (and I mean bitter)a garden project at Donna's, the VFW, several new flowers and one that Judy solved for us that has been out there a while, more & more.
In between all this, we have friend to friend talk, cucumber disappearances, how to get all your veggies cooked up, by someone else and I could go on, but just come to our next meeting August 7th. AUGUST, ALREADY!
I found out my moonflower is probably not a moonflower but it is still a pretty morning glory. Is anyone's cypress vine (cardinal flower) flowering yet? A few of ours look great but no flowers yet.
Steve, I checked yesterday and the cardinal vines have produced a couple of blooms. Hope there are many more to come.
Well, I have 4 blooms on my cypress vine. Looks like more are soon to be.
I still have 0 blooms. Great growth that is actually taking more of the gardens than I allotted for them, but no hint of a bloom yet.
