Its basketball time again in Tennessee, or almost.Posted Thursday, October 15, 2009, at 4:05 PM
The Shelbyville Parks and Recreation athletic coordinator is trying to get the word out about their basketball program. They are making some changes this year in hopes of making the league the best it can be. Here is an e-mail he sent out. I have received his permission to post it here.
"Games will not start until after the Christmas break this year in order for the player on the Thomas Elementary school teams to be eligible to play.
This year we will be playing games on weeknights so that all the teams won't have to play on Saturdays. I am hoping that each team will only have to play one or two Saturdays the whole season, I know the parents want to sleep late.
Also, we plan on having games be played at the Central Memorial Gym." His name is Jakob Stephens and you can reach him at the Shelbyville Parks and Recreation office. (931)684-9780 I hesitate to post e-mail addresses and forgot to clarify that, but the number should do well. |
