Ouch, ouch ouch! Did I mention OUCH?Posted Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at 7:44 AM
Sable is the one in the background.
Originally I thought Sable was a male, then the past few weeks I starting thinking otherwise. Her attraction to pink was one hint, but she was not growing as big as B.W. so I was wondering.
While I have been allowed to pet them (lightly) while eating, only B.W. and Sally Jr. allowed me to pick them up without panic. I never tried with Sable because of the jitters.
Well,... yesterday morning that changed. I would have written sooner, but I had trouble with blood on the keyboard. Yikes! That GIRL had teeth and claws galore.
Our neighbor had mentioned wearing gloves when I collect them for the trip to the vet, but they had all seemed so adjusted to me that I could not imagine all that fuss. Well, I can imagine now!
Sable would not get anywhere near me last night for feeding and in fact, started heading up the road. I intercepted her and herded her back to the group, but she stayed back in the woods, so I left early. This morning she was close to normal, but no touching (or even looking like a touch).
