Time to put away the sandals? They don't work well in snow.

I don't know what our drop-offs did since they saw it start, but they are doing fine. There are many rock hideaways, culverts under the road, driveways and even a few caves, so they can probably escape any of the sub-freezing weather whenever they want. (as long as no one else meaner is in there first)

I was able to determine that the sandals I have come to love this year are not great for snow. THEY do fine, but my feet, specifically my toes are complaining. I thought we only had about half an inch but I just measured it on the deck and it is almost an inch. And I didn't pay attention to my own blog, NO SANDALS!

Cardinals sure do stand out nicely on the snow background though. I let the bird food run down and the blue jays are letting me know. Fuss, fuss, fuss.

I FINALLY may have found the best day to get my eBay listings up. Some great football, but I moved to the kitchen table, so I'm ready!

Sofie (our little stray dog) just came down say she was ready to go do her business. I would call her a lap dog, but she does not like sitting in laps. Her bed, our bed, or sofa is just, but no laps or overdoing the hugs. She will cuddle and even lay her head on our leg, but only on her terms. (sounds like a cat)

Someone sure trained her well. She even waits by her dish until we tell her it is OK to eat.

Anyway, she did not know about the snow either, so when she went out she stopped just short of the snow line and held one paw up in the air trying to decide if she really wanted to step in it. Nature called and she boldly stepped forward.
