Sign, sign everywhere a sign, breaking up the scenery blowing my mind?Posted Monday, December 14, 2009, at 7:30 AM
Have you ever awakened in the morning with a song on your mind? I do almost every morning. Occasionally I can attribute it to something I heard the night before, but usually it is just there. It takes a while to remove it unless I turn on the radio.
Now I'm not complaining. I actually enjoy humming to the songs of my life, but I am curious how many of us do it?
The lyric from above was there this morning. Anyone want to guess who sang it. Now I know you can Google it, but how about with the old grey matter. I actually could sing the whole song, but the artists evaded me for a long time
Here is something from their website.
"Originally formed in Ottawa, Ontario in 1964 as the Staccatos (Rick Belanger, Peter Fallis, Brian Rading & Vern Craig). Les Emmerson joined the band after Peter Fallis left to finish his schooling. . The band developed into one of Canada's best-known groups, with a solid and dedicated fan base, a contract with Capitol Records of Canada, promotional opportunities and, most of all, live work."
I used to love that TV show "Name That Tune" where contestants try to name the song based on a few notes. You would bet on how few a notes it would take to name it. I may not do well if it was modern day music, but from the 80's back to the 30's I could hold my own. No I was not listening in the 30's but my mother was an avid musician and we kids were introduced to a lot.
