How about an adoption of the Canine kind?

She first came to my attention on Thanksgiving Day, dropped off down by our drop-off cat family. I would guess her age at 3-4 months. I could not leave her there since once she found out about the soup line at kitty station, the food was history. So that is one thing I can say about her, she eats well.

Exactly what she is, I don't know, but from her current size I would say she is going to weigh in around 40-50 pounds eventually. Maybe someone can look at the photo and give us a guess?

While still timid when it comes down to actually physically chasing wild animals, she hears and smells them quite well. Often she is the first to raise the alarm and already has a deeper voice than our other older dogs.

Being a puppy, she LOVES to play and aside from being a bit annoying with her constant energy, she seems well natured. Most of the cats have established their tolerance for her and set her straight when she goes beyond it, but poor Sammy (our youngest solid black cat) does not use his claws and does not hiss at her, so she thinks he is a playmate. Maybe he is, but he is not big enough to take the constant flopping on him, so he has started staying in a LOT more lately.

We've recently read some horror stories about animals being neglected, mistreated, starved, etc. We know anyone responding will mean well, but if you can not give her a decent life with your family, please do not respond.
