Caution about selling unwanted gifts on eBay.Posted Sunday, December 27, 2009, at 9:56 AM
No, it is not a safety issue, unless your family and friends have extreme emotional reactions. Articles abound right now about how to sell your unwanted gifts on eBay.
The word of caution I share with most of my eBay students is to be aware if your friends and family follow your listings online. More than a few times I have heard embarrassing stories of the gift givers finding out about the listing. Maybe you could let them "age " a little bit, or find a fellow eBayer who could sell those sensitive items and you sell theirs. The kindness of giving, friendship and family should mean a LOT more than the money you will make, so please be careful and considerate.
