Weed'em & Reap this coming Friday but WOW do we need to think WARM!Posted Sunday, February 14, 2010, at 6:07 PM
Our cactus look a little out of place in this snow.
Garden club meeting will be at Parkway Cafeteria. Drift in between 6:00 & 6:30. Cathy is the only one to remember her garden catalogs last week. This week I have piled them up by the door (17 so far).
I have been holding off starting my Spring plants because PITA (our newest dog) will surely tear them up and I don't want to have blood on my hands, but something has got to give.
I may try a temporary cold-frame using the timber sides of a lower, south facing garden and with a compost pile underneath. We have been storing some sliding glass doors for just such an occasion. The seeds will still be started in trays and the compost pile may add a little extra heat.
