What a morning! Have a great one, but don't forget tonight!Posted Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 8:48 AM
B.W., one of our drop-off cat family playing on my lap after breakfast.
Saturday morning and I am going to try very hard to NOT do any business that I do during the week. I get on this computer and things often stray, but barring a phone call from a customer, I am staying away from the norm.
With that said, what a beautiful morning it has started out to be. I still wish that I could write things down as I think them while I am puttering around in the morning or while in the garden. What great thoughts I have, but.... I just have to wait and hope they come back to me here in cyberland.
My first awareness this morning was Sammy our cat meowing to get out. We have to close the bedroom door and only let a select few in during the night, or we would not have any room to sleep in our own bed. The morning was crisp, but before heading out to the cats, I had to re-load the fire. Love that smell.
The cats are well and I sat with them for about half an hour to be sure ol' possum did not eat their food. Last night the possum hid in the tree the cats used when they were young and came out after I was leaving. The day before it sat on a log 30 feet behind me, just waiting. They may have a small brain, but they use it.
Returning from my visit, I went in to start a pot of coffee. Coincidentally, I had to open a brand new container of coffee and a brand new package of filters. The smell of the coffee was enough to push me back into the coffee shop business. Hot coffee, fresh toasted raisin bread, real butter and soft big band music. Wow, what a morning!
