Is eBay coming alive for you? Especially store entries?

Posted Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at 8:25 AM

I waited a few weeks to see if I was hallucinating or nor, but we are selling at least twice the amount we normally do and one particular line has come alive enough that we may just keep it. I was seriously thinking of dropping a line we have had for 17 years. Emotional attachment was the only reason until now.

I knew that Stores did not get the same exposure as Auction and Fixed Price but this sudden burst of business may be from their change being phased in by March 30th. If so, we may be "on board".

We are in the middle of phasing out over 400 items and changing our way of going to market, We will probably continue, but it gives us reason to pause. Like I needed that!

Today we sold a week's worth of normal sales. This makes me ask what we were paying for before, but at $.03 per listing I guess the answer was, "not much".

I can't say that I like the price increase (it will be a big one to us)but if sales continue like this, it might be worth it.
